Thank god. I really wish they would add an extra week of live shows as well.
Hallelujah for that format change. That's what has been needed since series 1! For example, in series 2, Will probably would've had Cleo Higgins as well as Leah in the final, and she could've potentially gone on to win if she delivered a killer performance in the final.

In all fairness, The Voice around the world seems to have a LOT of random winners  Well from the US and Aussie series I've seen. But that is probably because it's always so close compared to X Factor which usually has a runaway favourite or two, I think because it's less serious or whatever and the individual performances matter more.

On the latest Aussie series they had the old format and in the semi final this girl was eliminated but they then had a wildcard (each mentor had one act in the final at this point, so it was to see who would get two) vote and she was re-instated and won the week after  So she probably should have gone through perhaps over one of the other mentors' acts, even if that meant that they had 0 in the final. The new format is much better.

AUTUMN JUST THEN

Twitter is divided, but I thought it was a decent enough performance. Will Hold Back The River get an extra boost for tomorrow's chart?

Nice boost for James Bay, currently #3 on LPB's :D
Ricky's team is brilliant, any of the 3 deserve the fast pass really  Hopefully all should be through anyway with the new rules - the two guys certainly will.
100% the right choice imo. Stevie would walk X Factor Matt Cardle style with performances like that. Not sure what you were listening to personally though Liam, I thought Autumn was awful, shouty and flat through all the first verse.

Team Ricky:

Autumn - Parts of her performance were great especially the latter part. I felt like she struggled with the first half in getting her key though and overall it was a bit of a messy performance. When she is on it she is on it though. - 07.0/10.0

Emmanuel - Perfect. His voice is so so beautiful. Would love to see him do extremely well. - 10.0/10.0

Stevie - I have to say I am not a fan of his kind of thing but he does it brilliantly. Never feel like he may go off of key. - 08.5/10.0

Everyone seems to be shouty tonight, Lara's voice just annoys me.

I think Autumn is the best so far, but I knew Ricky was going to fast forward Stevie with his performance.

Lara's voice is quite annoying. She's ok (I still wouldn't have chosen her for the lives) but the song choice was definitely wrong... The spoken word stuff isn't my thing anyway but it felt rather odd within the song and I don't feel like it fit very well. I think she's very very likely to be in the bottom 4 who go home.
Howard's tone is very grating, but he is pretty talented. Better than Lara I'd say but I can't say I'd be too upset for him to go home...

I agree. Her voice doesn't fit the song at all. She really screeched her way through the song.

None of Tom's team blew me away but Sasha is definitely the stand out of the three. I don't think that song did her as much justice as her knockout performance which even though it wasn't as big vocally, it was so raw and emotional. But still... a very solid performance.
Sasha is easily my favourite of Team Tom! I agree it was a bit one-note but for what was a bit of an odd song choice I think it worked quite well.
