SURELY sarcasm?! :o

Loved that episode, so much I could say about it! Can't wait for tomorrow's, eek!

Wow what an episode, everything is out in the open now, can't wait to see how it resolves tomorrow, I loved Mick's face at the end when Shirley says "He's your brother" that face was priceless
Everything about the rape reveal was done brilliantly. The lead-up was great, as was the climax. The whole "Dean is your brother" thing cheapened it all just a bit though.

Yeah, I was disappointed with the reveal of Dean Is your brother, It would be almost the last thing you would shout during a fight.

Tonight's episode was anti-climatic I think, it was only the last 3 or so minutes that were good. Tomorrow's episode will be a lot better and more fast-paced than this one.

It reminds me of the 2011 Christmas episodes, the Christmas Day episode itself was boring but the Boxing Day episode was more exciting with the fire that killed Yusef.

I thought the episode was done brilliantly, just a little too Carter-heavy. I would like to have seen the other families too. Tonight's episode should be interesting.
Shirley was desperate to stop Mick from killing Dean. She obviously thought that it would surprise him enough to stop.
I was quite sad Mick never got a few more punches in

Eastenders got the second highest viewing figures of the night at 7.55m, behind Mrs Brown's Boys at 7.61m (who also won last year).

Smashing episode, love that, can't wait for next week episodes they look great.
Furious at the whole Shirley/Dean alliance thing. We better not get another 3 months of everyone believing Dean :(

Darlene Love getting some airplay! Another great episode, particularly the ending as said.

New Year trailer:

It's totally Emma

who dies

Great episode tonight, I agree with most comments that this was the stronger of the two episodes, I wish they'd taken the last half hour of yesterday and today's for the Christmas Day episode but still miles better than Corrie!

Really excited for next week after seeing that trailer!!

The Boxing Day episode was amazing - really enjoyed it and it was much better paced than Christmas Day. Can't wait for next week's episodes now!

Also, it's been confirmed that the 30th Anniversary week will centre around Ian and Jane's wedding, as well as the killer reveal.

The wedding will probably go to plan without a hitch and everyone will think "what could possibly go wrong?". :P

It's also been revealed that in the New Year, Kat learns that

her uncle Harry - who abused her and got her pregnant at 13 - was a serial sex offender

. Sounds like a good issue to explore considering this sort of stuff has been in the news a lot in recent years.
