I don't believe that Shirley cares for Phil so much all of a sudden that she'd use that gun on anybody. If she does, I'll be disappointed. The Shirley / Phil affair strand of this storyline has felt rather rushed - from the two of them reluctantly starting to get on again, to Shirley pining for Phil for a few days and the viewers led to believe that they've put everything behind them just like that (Shirley's pining itself is very out of character, so it's not really working for me.)

It does seem that with the interference of Peggy, Ronnie, Aunt Sal, Shirley and now Ian that the wedding is totally doomed - I'm interested to see what it is that stops them from marrying.

I enjoyed seeing Peggy's brief appearance, although I ruined it for myself by reading Twitter before watching the episode. It was hammy as hell but classic Peggy.

I wish it was a double episode tonight, I wonder what Shirley is going to do with the gun now.

What else would she do with the gun?...............

Watched it for the first time in ages last night and all I could think of was what a frigging AWFUL wedding dress Sharon had on! It was very similar to the frock that Susan Boyle wore on her audition for Britain's Got Talent!

^I was thinking that too (well, not the SuBo comparison). It looked as if she'd been rolling around in mud puddles with it. Not my definition of "classy" as she put it.

It made me laugh when she didn't like her first hair-do for the wedding but loved the second one, even though it was pretty much exactly the same as her usual style!

Well, with her Miss Piggy appearance, she has few options!

Me and my sister thought that too (it was because sister was visiting that I watched EE last night). Sharon's first hair-do was fine - befitting a woman of her age (I'm a firm believer that once you are into your 40's and beyond - long hair is really a no-no anyway).

Letitia Dean has always looked better with short hair IMO.

I'm quite the opposite really as I think a lot of 40+ ladies look better with long hair! :P I think short hair wouldn't flatter her shape well at all tbh. #liamknowsfashion

Ronnie and Charlie make a good couple. I hope they end up together for good, Ronnie deserves a happy ending.

She'll probably kill him.

She'll get her happy ending alright. She drives off into the sunset with her baby and hot boyfriend. Six months later Roxy gets a phone call telling her they drove off a cliff.
Any bets on who will get shot, i really dont know where its going, there is no front runner at all that i can see. Hazarding a guess i will go for Ben, Shirley shoots Ben, he covers for her and she starts to forgive him for Heather.

Actually that would be probably the best outcome. I can't see anything else working. Maybe Denny, but I don't think EE would be daring enough to have a young child shot.

Denny came to my mind after Charity's kid Noah ended up in hospital last week. But you're right, I don't think they'd dare do that.

Just a quick yay that EE passed 7m in the ratings 3 times on the Slater fire week according to BARB, including 7.4m for the actual fire - best overall since the first episode after World Cup.

Indeed bugger to that duff duff but it left me dying for the next episode,in loving EastEnders right now and its really closing the ratings gap with coronation street now
Needed a double episode again! :(
