October 1, 201410 yr That was a very competitive week between the Top 3 albums!!! Is that a good start for Jennifer Hudson??
October 1, 201410 yr So after that result I highly doubt Gaga will care a speck about the outcome in UK.
October 1, 201410 yr I'm kinda surprised Alt-J only made #4 after two of their instant grats topped the iTunes chart for a little while... GaGa and Tony Bennett are not my thing but I guess I'm glad they're selling well if it encourages artists to experiment more and pursue less traditional pop projects.
October 1, 201410 yr That was a very competitive week between the Top 3 albums!!! Is that a good start for Jennifer Hudson?? No, her two previous albums debuted at #2 and I think both are certified gold at least
October 1, 201410 yr DEAD at GaGa's phonecall to sell those "exclusive" 2k albums actually getting her that #1
October 1, 201410 yr Author That was a very competitive week between the Top 3 albums!!! Is that a good start for Jennifer Hudson?? "Jennifer Hudson" (2008) debuted at #2 on 217k, and "I Remember Me" (2011) debuted at #2 on 165k, so not great. But I don't recall there being any hits off this current album.
October 1, 201410 yr Author Bloody hell, she scraped it by the skin of her teeth in the end! Depending how much rounding up or down there was, it could be even less than 1k.
October 1, 201410 yr Actually quite pleased to see Bennettga getting #1 here, if only because it's prevented yet another random country #1. Plus the entire concept is just so strange. Huge drop next week I assume.
October 1, 201410 yr Actually quite pleased to see Bennettga getting #1 here, if only because it's prevented yet another random country #1. Plus the entire concept is just so strange. Huge drop next week I assume. Ok, I'm ecstatic Gaga pulled off another #1 album! But, as much as I detest country music, I am submerged in it. And Kenny Chesney going to #1 is FAR from a "random country #1". He is a huge name just in general when it comes to the world of music and is an icon for the genre, which makes Gaga's #1 with Tony even that more impressive. Country music is a driving force in North America, and it deserves more respect on here when it comes to the Billboard charts.
October 2, 201410 yr Author Actually quite pleased to see Bennettga getting #1 here, if only because it's prevented yet another random country #1. Hold onto your hat, I think you'll find we're in the middle of a country month and a half, so to speak  It was Lee Brice (#5) and Dustin Lynch (#8) two weeks ago, Tim McGraw (#3) and George Strait (#4) on last week chart, Kenney Chesney (#2) this week, Blake Shelton (expected #1) and Lady Antebellum on next week's chart, Jason Aldean the week after that, and Florida Georgia Line the week after that.

October 4, 201410 yr Author Bit of a surprise :o Erasure sold 7,000 copies - nearly 2,000 more than the UK :o . Who knew they had more fans stateside

But, Bré's just trollin'. I guess I'm happier with Gaga at #1 although Kenny's album will probably outsell Cheek To Cheek in the long run.
October 4, 201410 yr Well CTC is still selling more than TBR this week. It's not dropping like a stone by any means, a normal 65% or so drop it seems. Actually I think with AMA promo etc it might be steady seller during the Q4.
