The more i listen to 'Alchemy' the more obvious a winner it seems.

 

Doesn't seem divisive at ALL. Just a stunning song that should capture almost everyone. Haven't felt this strongly about a song that wasn't my own since my debut contest i don't think :drama: It *has* to do it and i hope people don't pick at it for being "uninspired" or whatever because that's the only thing that could stop it i think.

I'm not sure though, I mean it's a surefire top three but I'm hesitant to call it a certain winner. I feel like I Loved You will appeal to a wider spectrum of people (even if it doesn't pick up as many 12's in the process).

HA true. Made all the more bitter for me because of the fact that he abandoned an absolute BEAUTY for this, at the first whiff of success :(

I love Alchemy but it's a disappointingly obvious winner. :( I know we've had loads of wide open contests recently and maybe an obvious winner once in a while wouldn't hurt, but I prefer the unpredictability!

I'd never personally heard Alchemy before BJSC! I wouldn't call it cheap but evidently it seems to be well known in certain circles.

I'm probably biased and I'm not going to win, but I really don't think Alchemy is that good. But then I've not really thought ANY winner is year has been very good, so it would be fitting.

All this heresy about "Alchemy" - I really won't have it. :( Anyway, it seems all the CONTENDERS are in the other semi, but I really enjoyed "Broken Flowers", "Wolves", "Dancing In The Dark" and "White Wine" from mine, so I hope they are in with a shout also.

I'll be taking up temporary residency with John in the BitterBetty club this month.

LexC and Johnkm disliking a song is pretty much the hallmark of quality anyway so that only makes me even more confident in an 'Alchemy' win ~
