November 13, 201410 yr As far as I'm aware when people 'place' orders they only do so in a fictional sense. If they truly are interested then I think they get in touch with the suppliers to confirm their orders. At least this was how it worked a few series ago. Then the whole show is (as we all knew it was) a fake.
November 13, 201410 yr Buying 50 games or whatever it was for Toys R Us is nothing, it is a drop in the Ocean. They have 90 stores it said in the ep so that isn't even 1 per store. It is a speculative purchase and they will stock some shops, see if it sells and if it did in reality would then be placing orders for more. If not they would go on a special 'sale price' in January and sell at cost price or just above.
November 14, 201410 yr You can now play Team Tenacity's "game" online with some of the questions featured from last night, Good grief how cringey, and there was 48 (!) questions like this in the game I think! Edited November 14, 201410 yr by Chez Wombat

Still think it was just a set-up and they were told to say they'd buy them (just to keep the viewer guessing as to which team would eventually win).
November 14, 201410 yr And telling the viewers that even the crappiest most offensive ideas will still find place in this market and especially in TOYS Я US. :magic:
November 14, 201410 yr You can now play Team Tenacity's "game" online with some of the questions featured from last night, Good grief how cringey, and there was 48 (!) questions like this in the game I think! They are ridiculous! I knew they were bad from both the main programme and 'You're Fired' but I didn't realise how made up they actually were! Women would prefer being asked out on a date by a tweet, really??
November 14, 201410 yr So women like to be asked out on Twitter according to the correct answer on this board game. Who knew?! :o
November 19, 201410 yr I told you Lauren was useless, until this ep all she had done was moan everyone was doing something wrong, this ep she didn't even do that.
November 19, 201410 yr I told you Lauren was useless, until this ep all she had done was moan everyone was doing something wrong, this ep she didn't even do that. She's about to get fired. All the signs are there.
November 19, 201410 yr The moment Mark took the project manager role was the moment I knew it was all over for her :( I feel a bit bad for her as I quite liked her and did feel she was smart and had potential to be great when in the lead, but she really fell into the background these last few weeks and was an obvious choice to go. It does continue to amaze me how there is literally zero creativity amongst any of the candidates when it comes to tasks like this, I know they're made to look like idiots, but srsly are we ever gonna get some candidates that actually come up with a good advert/concept for these sort of tasks

The 2 biggest energy drinks are Monster and Red Bull, I think if either team went into the boardroom with those ideas they would be laughed at.
November 20, 201410 yr I actually think the Energy Drink was the smartest move. I've worked in beverage advertising and anytime there's discussion of new energy drinks everyone immediately gets on board. Energy Drink or Alcohol would have been my two choices - but I'm assuming alcohol was off limits (unless both teams were morons). Such an obvious win/loss and firing this week, however would have liked to see Lord Sugar can another.
November 20, 201410 yr I think Lauren was thrown under the bus a bit there. She did more than they made out. There are far more useless people there. I feel as though Alan is aching to fire James now. Next time he's on the losing team he's a goner, surely? Roisin is by far the best one there for me. Still gunning for her to win.
November 20, 201410 yr Sadly, I kinda knew Lauren was going the moment I saw the 'next week on...' from last week. She wasn't the PM so it was the first major sign given LS's criticism was that she tends to stay away from the line of fire. And she was getting a terrible edit for the entire episode. :( Next week is going to be just as great. James as PM, again. PLEASE can he leave finally. He's SUCH a c**t when given the leadership role. Surely he's the LAST person LS wants to work with. I know I wouldn't have patience, no matter how good a salesman or whatever he is lol
November 20, 201410 yr ugh, that episode was so infuriating on so many levels. could tell Lauren was going to be fired right from the start of the episode, but she contributed a fair bit to the task actually. Mark sitting there saying she didn't do anything when all he did the whole time was point fingers, talk to a bunch of people to promote their product while at the same time slagging off the others he was pitching with, and trying to maintain communication with the UK team. hideous PM. really hope he's gone soon. someone else that rly needs to go soon is bloody FILIPE. completely useless ARSE. James, Roisin, Solomon and Bianca though

I know I wouldn't have patience, no matter how good a salesman or whatever he is lol Most years in the Apprentice there is one cocky, deluded, and silly tw*t, that keeps making it through week after week. Until the interviews stage, when they get torn to shreds and are completely humiliated - then fired first (but it's always amazing TV). Like Stuart and Jim from previous years. I'm thinking this could be the case for James. As much as I want him gone ASAP, seeing him torn apart in interviews would be TV GOLD.
November 20, 201410 yr First time I've disagreed with Sugar this series; from the edit we saw, Lauren didn't put too much effort into it, but what she did do was better than Daniel's attempts. He's shown in previous weeks that he's useless at everything he claims to do well, he tried to do something different, be creative, and completely failed at that. Would have definitely gotten rid of him this episode and let Lauren have a chance to be PM next week. Guess the Mark and Daniel feud is better for TV though. Summit is really the better team all the way right now, I really agree with the You're Fired crowd that Roisin looks like the candidate to beat now as Mark looked weaker than he ever had before last night when given the actual leadership role, but she also gives off strong 'competent runner-up' vibes.
November 20, 201410 yr I think Katie is flying below the radar. The concoction (and packaging) they came up with looked bloody awful - I would have taken her in over Daniel any day of the week. The simmering feud that is going on (whether its real or unreal) between Daniel and Mark is good telly though - so the minute Mark took Daniel in with Lauren - I knew Lauren was a goner. She was my favourite too! Hopefully Felipe will go next - I honestly don't see what he's doing there at all!
