I am living for the Cheryl backlash I keep seeing on Twitter tbh *.* agree 100% with everyone saying that she's just being a moaning faced little cow this year, thinking she's all that.

I laughed at her comment to Fleur tonight as well... Saying she respected how she did the whole singing and dancing and rapping all at once thing, or whatever it was. Bet you wish you could do that too without miming your way through it, eh?

With Twitter there's always as much love as there is hate, and I've certainly seen a lot of people on Twitter loving her / agreeing with her comments, some even "hating" that they agree with her. I actually think that she has talked quite a bit of sense this year, particularly in the lives. I'm not just saying that because she's a fave~ because there's been times over the years she's been on The X Factor when she's really infuriated me with her comments. She is as entitled to her opinions as any of the other judges though.

I thought Cheryl's comments about Fleur were fair! She deserved that critique. It is pretty rare that a contestant on The X Factor is as well-rounded as Fleur is. She has a good voice, she can rap very well, she can dance (her choreography is above and beyond what the others are doing) and overall she performs in such an effortless way, it's like she's been a pop star for many years. It's refreshing! I'm glad Cheryl recognized that and said what she said. I hope Fleur is in the competition for a long time, but I fear she'll be gone far too soon.

I find the quips about Cheryl's own abilities that some people love to make constantly quite unfair! 12 years in the game and she's still getting #1s, so she must be doing something right. She's had a career that 99% of the people who audition on X Factor could only dream of achieving themselves, so I think she has more than earned her place on the panel and is within her rights to comment on the potential of those who are up-and-coming. Her own level of talent shouldn't make all of her critiques worthless. Do you have to be a great singer to be able to judge singers? I don't think that's necessary, otherwise Louis and Simon wouldn't be there. The same goes for Mel (I know you haven't mentioned her, this is a separate comment). It's so annoying to see some people on Twitter disregard her opinions because she's supposedly a "has-been". :( Some people don't seem to appreciate just how huge she made it with the Spice Girls, which I find so weird. She was in a group that was about as big as you could hope to be, so she's been there and done it, so I think she is a very worthy judge. 18 years on and I don't believe Mel has ever been more relevant in a solo capacity! I don't understand why the female judges on these shows get so much stick, but the male judges don't tend to face the same level of scrutiny.

Cheryl and Mel speak a hell of a lot more sense than Louis or Simon for sure. For example, Cheryl is the only one who doesn't wet herself ad neauseam over Jay's hideously boring performances and she was spot on about Stereo Kicks last week. I don't see how being more outspoken than she was in 2010 makes her a "moaning faced little cow" personally, when people moaned she was too nice during her first stint as a judge. If it was Kylie, Katy Perry or someone else who's more widely liked than Cheryl, nobody would bat an eyelid at what's said. People on here aren't as bad but I see a lot more hate than love for her on Twitter :/ I love both her and Mel as judges though.

As for half of twitter calling Cheryl out on her lack of talent, they need to see Mel B singing live on X Factor Australia alongside Guy Sebastian, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Ronan Keating! Absolutely embarrassing, especially in comparison to the other three who are incredible live vocalists (particularly Natalie which really surprised me). But both are (were in Mel's case I guess :kink:) huge popstars, part of iconic girl groups, they know what they're doing and what it takes to be a star. You don't have to have the vocals of Whitney Houston to know that, god knows there are millions of people watching and commentating who can't hold a tune, are their opinions any less valid?

Of course Louis has always been just a bit bonkers but Simon is pretty bad as a judge now too I think... He doesn't seem to let Cheryl have her opinion at all, especially if it goes against his. But that's the whole point of a panel, for them to have their views, which naturally will differ. Four judges with potentially four different viewpoints gives each acts lots to take on board. If they all said exactly the same to every act, nobody would progress or get better as much as they should.

I think Mel is incredibly out of practice! She was a lot better live during the 90s, a very confident performer (she would sound amazing singing 'Viva Forever'/'Goodbye' etc), but her more recent performances are pretty bad. :kink: In a way Fleur reminds me a bit of Mel B during her first solo album era back in 2000/2001, in terms of image/performances!

My app votes went to:

2 x Fleur (My favourite of the night)

2 x Only The Young (I think they're in trouble tonight)

1 x Stevi (I want him to stay for another week at least)

People in trouble this week in my opinion:

Jake

Jack

Only The Young

Lola

2 of them will be in the bottom 2 believe me.

The hype for Jay James baffles me. He just seems so....average.
Why was Mel so pissed off at Jack for? She was acting like he killed her mother or something.

This was broached further on the Xtra Factor but the answer given still seems bizarre. It seems that the original idea was for Jack to rip open his shirt during the performance, but he refused to do it. I'd be a bit surprised if this alone is what annoyed Mel though?

Mel B is getting on my nerves now and the way she talks is so irritating

And can Jack really sing anything without that guitar or is it stuck to him???

I thought so - movie week always has to have a Whitney Houston song in there somewhere.

Wow, he plays the guitar, how awful of him.

To be fair I would like to see him performing without the guitar. Or at least do something other than standing still while playing said guitar! Some people can be very charismatic while playing an instrument. Taking off the "he's fit" loon glasses (which is something I need to remove too x) he isn't a particularly captivating performer. He needs to step up or else he'll be going quite soon.

Basically my entire opinion on him

He doesn't deserve to go too soon for me; maybe once Stevi/Jay/Stereo Kicks/Jake and POSSIBLY Only The Young have all gone?

Hasn't Stevi Ritchie been doing extra-curricular activities with Chloe?

'Ere lads. I've got to sixth base with Chloe

I don't understand that, how come Mel is so annoyed at Jake using his body to sell himself as a contestant and yet when Jack doesn't want to use his body to sell himself as a contestant she's visibly annoyed? There must be something more. Tbf just having him rip his top off is needless really, it worked for Olly Murs (not just because I fancy him way more than Jack :kink:) because he has that fun/cheeky vibe but that's not necessarily what Jack is about so it just seems like Mel is having one rule for Jack and another for Jake!

I don't think it's just the shirt ripping thing. I believe they wanted a full on performance from him, but he didn't want to do that (probably because he felt more comfortable just standing there with the guitar). Mel was probably annoyed that he isn't being versatile with his performing? That's what i suspect anyway..
