One More Sleep did a lot better than Christmas Lights though. It made it to number 1 on airplay and spent two weeks in the UK top 3. Christmas Lights did okay but didn't even get top 10.

- But it's peak generally depends on whether the radios give it the odd spin.

I think Christmas Lights got to No1 on itunes for a few days at least when it was released its 18-13 official chart movement in its first weeks of release was due to the fact it was released on a Wednesday night that it was first given its premiere. If it had been released on a Sunday/Monday it would easily have been top 10 for its first week at least and they had no TV promo thereafter for it apart from a video!

The december charts with streaming will however be interesting this year as although sales are higher for the No40 now the streams for the xmas chart last week were big for xmas hits!

It's going to do absolutely nothing isn't it? :( No hype, no support.

It's a shame the performance isn't while the song is actually out. It is bound to help with pre-orders to a point but her performances usually seem to give her a really good boost. I'm hoping she's got X-Factor.

Is this Paloma song brand new? I thought it was off the album just!

Easy mistake. It sounds like every other track from the album.

I hadnt actually heard it lol. But i forgot we are in nov time now so should have known it would be a re-release!
I hope it does well for her, earlyish days yet, seeing her tonight she better sing it too.
Hardly news that Paloma has no support and won't chart well. OLCHLT was an absolute fluke that should have performed even better than it did.

She usually gets top 20 (if not top 10) with singles that aren't on an existing album, the way this is going it'll be lucky to even chart.

(Though I do agree she'll probably get some high profile performance slots that could help it out. I can only dream for X-Factor)

235 Christina Marie - I'm Coming Home To You

This is doing better than I expected, considering no one knows about it apart from her modest number of Twitter followers

Halloween:

116 & 392 & 894. Michael Jackson- Thriller

141. Ray Parker Jr- Ghostbusters

224 & 991. Booby "Boris" Pickett- Monster Mash

763. Halloween Party Album Singers- Monster Mash

1159. Halloween Party Album Singers- Ghostbusters

How high did these songs get last year by the way?

Christmas:

443. Mariah Carey- All I Want for Christmas Is You

1123. The Pogues- Fairytale of New York

1405. Ryuichi Sakamoto- Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence

What is that Merry Christmas Mr Lawerence song?

Watergate's Heart Of Asia was based on it. I don't think it's got anything to do with Christmas.

Ah thanks I'd seen it a few times.

The new Bastille entry is for that BBC does the music to drive event - it's a decent song and was Zane Lowes hottest record yesterday I think!
