April 21, 201510 yr So many of my friends were at the screening last night. I've luckily not found out any spoilers, but am DYING. Edited April 21, 201510 yr by Joe.
April 22, 201510 yr This was (predictably) FANTASTIC! I am so in love with it   Just everything about it is a MOMENT. Just like the first film. Joss Whedon is a God! We will all have to BOW DOWN to him. How he can give such an equa/fair amount of time to that many characters and it all feel so cohesive and well put together is insane.
April 23, 201510 yr I think I'd have enjoyed and understood this a lot more if I'd seen more of the Marvel movies than only Guardians of the Galaxy.
April 23, 201510 yr Author This was pretty much on the spot, loved it from start to finish, and the action just never stopped, I loved it when all of the Avenger team were just fighting the enemies coming at them towards the end of the film. Great follow-up I really can't fault it, it was just awesome. Both of the Avengers movies are probably on par with each other. And I wasn't expecting a character getting killed off, unless he or she (without giving too much away) gets re-generated or something. I don't know who is coming back for the The Infiniity Wars 2 parter, but I get a sense Hawkeye is not coming back as he wants to be with his family, he does appear in the next Captain America film though. Also it feels Iron Man is coming to a natural end after his appearance in the next CA movie, unless the character gets re-casted Robert Downey Jr looks quite beaten in it, seeing the new wave of the team at the end of the film. I also heard Ant-Man and The Black Panther might be appearing in the next Avengers 2 parter movie. James Spader as the voice of Ultron was superb. Joss Whedon has really pushed all the buttons on this movie, I really don't know how he is going to top it. A word of warning, don't leave the theatre when the credits start rolling up :o :D
April 23, 201510 yr A word of warning, don't leave the theatre when the credits start rolling up :o :D Thanks for telling me. I'm going to watch it later. Someone else told me that there's no post-credits scene but obviously, I didn't believe them as Marvel never do that
April 23, 201510 yr After the first set of credits there IS a stinger, but once the standard credits start rolling (the white text rolling up), you can leave. When people were saying there isn't a post credits scene, they were referring to the scene where the Avengers have Shwarma! Lol.
April 23, 201510 yr Probs gonna have to wait till the DVD for this ;_; lack of funds. Hoping we get to see BuckyCap soon though, I need to see Sebby in the red, white and blue *.*
April 23, 201510 yr great movie, not quite the charm of the first one, a bit darker this one. Really took to the 2 new characters, and the villain is fabulous (as played by spader) - Joss Whedon's villains are invariably as great as his heroes, always full characters with great dialogue, heroes and villains alike never black and white, but shades of grey and humour. As always, action-packed great script and dialogue, 9 out of 10 cos Avengers was a 10/10 and I preferred that one. If anyone's never seen Buffy, Angel or Firefly you really need to do box sets cos they are 3 of the greatest TV shows of all-time... :yahoo:
April 24, 201510 yr Author Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen are on Graham Norton show tonight. :D
April 24, 201510 yr This was absolutely perfect. It was everything I wanted, a lot darker than the first one and Hawkeye was much better developed. I loved this film so much. I'm so pumped for Civil War.
April 24, 201510 yr I enjoyed this. I agree with popchart that it wasn't quite up to the last film. I felt like there were too many characters this time round. The final fight scene was excellent and Ultron was a fantastically creepy villain. Some dodgy accents in there though. Edited April 24, 201510 yr by Joe.
April 26, 201510 yr I found this a little bit underwhelming. It starts predictably loudly and full on but soon tails of and I found my attention wandering. There's a lack of spark between the team (unlike the first film), the plot is threadbare and full of barely believable leaps, the 'romance' feels forced, it's overlong and I personally found Ulton to be a bit cliched and unthreatening. The film does end fairly well but it's all too familiar and feels like an obkigation to be completed before they can move on to new and more exciting ideas. Particularly after the excellent first film and equally excellent Guardians Of The Galaxy.
April 26, 201510 yr Yeah the more I think about this the more disappointed I feel. I feel like making Black Widow a romantic lead lost a lot of her sass and edge, and she was by far my favourite from the others in the series. I did always like that she had shown little bits of humanity, but they drained a lot from her character in this. Also, Hawkeye, ultimately the most uninteresting Avenger took up too much screen time. Captain America and Thor, I felt really didn't get enough. I really liked Elizabeth Olsen's powers/fight scenes, but the relationship between her and Quicksilver wasn't built up enough for anyone to care when he died - should have killed Hawkeye. My ranking of this series goes; Captain America: The Winter Solider The Avengers Assemble --- Guardians of the Galaxy The Avengers: Age of Ultron Thor: The Dark World -- Thor Iron Man 3 Iron Man Incredible Hulk -- Captain America: The First Avenger Iron Man 2 Edited April 26, 201510 yr by Joe.
April 28, 201510 yr I saw this again the other day and enjoyed it more the second time and I put that down to me knowing what to expect/all the original hype had worn off and I wasn't just on a high etc.. So brilliant. Film of the year so far for me. It's the sequel that was needed I feel. Don't even ask me which one I prefer as I can't decide!
September 14, 20159 yr The new movie of the Avengers was released in theaters worldwide over four months ago! It was one of the movies that the audience was eager to see it since the beginning of the year and everyone was sure of its huge success in the Box Office. Although I like almost all super heroes of Marvel, I would not say that I was satisfied with the first film and I found it quite lukewarm for having so impressive earnings. So I did not have very high expectations for the sequel. However, "Age of Ultron" seemed even worse and I couldn't help but wonder with the movie options of spectators when exceptional films go unnoticed . "Age of Ultron" starts immediately with an action scene and everything happens so quickly to the point that it caused me a headache from the first quarter. There were rapidly changing images, several reports of names, unwarranted explosions, many buildings disasters and no particular substance. The evil face of the case is the Ultron, who wants to save the planet Earth from humanity and wants to kill off the "good" Avengers. Joss Whedon took over the directing and script of the Avengers, after Marvel Studios wanted to collaborate with him again. So Joss Whedon add some personal touches on the story. Despite this, the new film had tragic dialogues, invalid cues, indifferent performances and bad actors choices in the additions of new heroes such as Pietro Maximoff / Quicksilver and Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch. Honestly its result caused me discomfort in the film room and I was not happy with everything that I saw. The problem with the Avengers is that moderate actors (there are some exceptions) have become super stars and all this lifestyle seemed amply to the new chapter. It was a film exclusively for children and adolescents, or adults who do not want to grow up . What a pity, however, because in recent years, there have been a number of remarkable films / productions with depth and substance and the audience prefers to see this bullshit. "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is definitely one of the worst movies I saw this year. Its visual result failed to impress me and all they all seemed mildly unacceptable and false. However, the film surpassed the $1.400.000.000 revenues worldwide and it's the third-highest- grossing film of the year after the unutterable "Furius 7". Marvel Studios has announced the next two films of The Avengers "Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1" and "Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2", which will be released in 2018 and 2019 respectively. Hopefully they will have a better result than this nonsense because it is a shame to burn viewer brain cells with such scenarios.
September 15, 20159 yr Jesus Christ Insomnio. It's fair enough you didn't like it, but was there any need to go to such lengths to be so judgemental and insulting to people who did? I'm 32, consider myself to be of reasonable intelligence, and am quite comfortable with the idea that I've indeed "grown up". I also happened to like the movie. Was it the best movie I've ever seen? Of course not. Did it deliver what I expect an Avengers movie to deliver? Yes. I can't really see what the actors lifestyles have to do with anything. They're not playing themselves after all. I also wonder what you anticipated going into this movie, if it wasn't a lot of action and explosions. The trailers alone should have put you off really.
September 15, 20159 yr It's still my favourite film of the year. I rewatched it about a week ago, but loved it just as much as the first couple of times. It's definitely flawed in places, but for a Superhero movie as big as this is with so many prominent characters, that was always going to happen and I think Joss did a BRILLIANT job of introducing new characters and shared the right amount of air time to the older characters. Can't wait until I get home and watch my Blu-Ray of it.

I'm also pretty smart, albeit with popculture tastes, and it was a very smart movie, Joss Whedon is a god of dialogue and plotting and character. Want to see how not to do a super-hero-team movie? Err Fantastic Four, and they only had four heroes to juggle, and one villain.
