We all remember this top 10 hit, right? It peaked at #6 and spent 11 weeks top 40 overall, and each of these weeks, Jameela failed to pronounce Trevor Guthrie's surname correctly, referring to him solely as Trevor. It's not even a particularly hard surname to say :kink:

Next up is a lady who's performing at the Teen Awards this year, alongside Ella Henderson, The Vamps, 5 Seconds of Summer and Rixton, it's Ariana Grande! And after that, we have a group who are also performing at the Teen Awards, alongside Rixton, Ella Henderson, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes and 5 Seconds of Summer, yup, it's The Vamps! And after that....well, you get the idea. Jameela liked to remind us that the Teen Awards were happening and by the end of the chart, we could memorise every single performer. I guess her method worked :kink:

This Is What It Feels Like :wub: I was hoping she'd try and say Trevor's last name at least once but seeing that become a hit was amazing even if Armin had to kinda sell out to get a hit single (TIWIFL isn't too far off his usual stuff though, just more commercial, it's not like he did a Tiesto)

We don't have her here in Ireland, But she sounds awful at her job.

 

I listen to her live by satelite every week, I am here in Ireland, I host Haven's Chart Show Thread every week from here in Ireland, I am looking forward to this thread, I personally find her hilarious.

 

Just for the info, Jameela's counterpart in Ireland is a DJ called Mark McCabe, he presents the National Chart Show every Friday night at 8-10pm on the National equivalent to BBC Radio 1, RTE 2fm, but we already know the chart as it is released just after Lunchtime on Fridays.

Lillywood

 

 

"Lillywood is not one person!", Jameela likes to remind us every week. Many of us will already know this through their original name 'Lilly Wood & The Prick', which is understandably censored on Radio 1, so Jameela has to take a different approach and remind us that Lillywood is actually more than one person, despite the misleading name :magic:

Many of us love Ghost by Ella Henderson, right? It's one of the biggest smashes of the year (and the longest running multichart #1, cross promotion right here), and Jameela herself loves it! As proven by her one-off quote:

 

"It really is fantastic, I'm not kissing bum!"

 

Incredibly random and I'm not sure anyone would've thought she would be "kissing bum", but this is just another reason why we adore Jameela :wub:

I would love to be listening to the chart in the next few weeks, and Jameela comments about this site that is got a chart about my moments on this show, and I would love to hear what she says about it.

Let's not forget how Jameela would mention EVERY week about how the members of Lillywood met in a café like it was some super interesting fact. :lol:

Shame this week she is off so she cannot say about Ed Sheeran's first ever Number 1 again, as it looks like from the Mids this week Ed will be #1 again

Rather Be

 

 

It's been in the charts for a lifetime now but that never stopped Jameela introducing it by telling us that Rather Be by Clean Bandit was "#1 for a whole month before being knocked off by Sam Smith's Money On My Mind". Another fabulous instance of Jameela's script not being changed!

To be fair, Jameela is having to countdown some of the worst and least interesting Top 40s in history.

I hope her weekly complaining about "Let It Go" makes it in. I always get a laugh out of that for some reason. Too bad she won't be there this Sunday for its possible re-entry. :(

So this is a fairly new one which I imagine a lot of people here haven't heard as it stems from Wednesday's chart update with Scott Mills. The 10-2 rundown wasn't working for whatever reason so Scott and Jameela decided to just list the top 10. It got to Sigma and Paloma Faith at #9 and Jameela started singing "everything is chaaaaangiiiiing" for us, in true Jameela style :heart:

Please forgive me for mentioning SCREECH, Michael, but if we all cast our minds back to when Just Give Me a Reason was charting last year, we have another instance of Jameela struggling with pronunciation! She struggled to pronounce 'Ruess', Nate's surname, so instead referred to him as "Nate from fun." constantly. :lol:

How do you pronounce it though? i just call him that twat from that shit band.
