G.R.L.

 

 

Another time where Jameela gets confused over how to pronounce something! As we all know, G.R.L. is pronounced literally as G-R-L. Jameela, on the other hand, didn't just struggle to find out how to say it, she added an extra letter! Jameela pronounced it as GIRL. Or for the more sassy among us, it could be GURL. Who knows? *_*

Did she also make that mistake when Wild Wild Love was charting? I can't remember. It'd be even more amusing if she was previously pronouncing G.R.L. correctly :lol:

No she still said it wrong with Wild Wild Love, despite Pitbull clearly saying "G.R.L." at the end :lol:

Competitions

 

The competitions on the chart can get a little messy sometimes. People have to answer the phone with the exact phrase Jameela mentioned earlier in the show - a "hello" won't do. A lot of the time, it goes fine and we get someone within about two calls, but sometimes it can drag on a bit and poor Jameela gets quite flustered!

Jameela NEEDS to see this before she leaves us next year. Should we all tweet this to her during one of her shows? Would love to hear her reaction

I know this wasn't on a chart show but one time she was covering for Fearne and in true Jameela fashion she messes up. She played Saint Raymond and accidentally referred to him as her or she (something like that basically thinking he was a women) when the producer told her she laughed (if I remember correctly) and was like move on. Was so awkward and so funny at the same time :lol:

Even in today's chart climate, we do have SOME new entries amongst the stale tracks! :o Jameela must be so used to all the stale tracks, that even 2 weeks is a long time. She'll even say "after 2 weeks, this is STILL HERE!" :o

31 weeks!

 

Continuing on with the stale theme, we often get songs like Let It Go, Happy, All of Me, etc. that spend well over 30 weeks in the chart. Let It Go reached 31 weeks earlier in the year, to which Jameela remarked "This song has been in the chart for 31 weeks. I don't even think I'VE been here for 31 weeks!" (by which point she'd been presenting the chart for over a year :kink:)

I hope her endless usage of "pants" is still to come.

Oh yes... Jameela has to see this before she leaves, probably wet her pants with laughter. :lol:

So we've had Ellie Goulding's first EVER #1, and now we move to the guy she supposedly cheated on (:ph34r:) Ed Sheeran, who had his own first EVER #1 under a year later. So why is this higher than Ellie's? Because we could see it coming a mile off and Jameela never let us down :kink:
