November 7, 201410 yr I've now voted. Really liked my top 3 but the rest of my votes were merely good to a mere 7.5/10 so very, very disappointing semi. Hoping that Semi 1's better and a lot of these are actually growers that suffered with just one listen. Edited November 7, 201410 yr by Chez Wombat
November 7, 201410 yr I thought that was a coincidence too about Smith & Thell although I believe 'Illusion' was also entered in between this and 'Kill It With Love', but still a big coincidence like you say!
November 7, 201410 yr Are we sure this is the same Smith & Thell though? I mean, 'Illusion' was actually GOOD.
November 7, 201410 yr The start of Cumulonimbia's vid!!!!!!!! I didn't notice it before, that's hilarious!
November 7, 201410 yr There's one song I really wish I'd given more points to here now :( Luckily it's one that'll have no problem qualifying so it will probably be suitably rewarded in the final ^_^
November 7, 201410 yr The only thing it clicked was the trigger of the gun I was holding to my head while listening to it.
November 7, 201410 yr I enjoyed revisiting Jaimeson ("Complete" was my fave, but I did also like "True") - the other song in the Top 40 the week that charted at #4, which I loved at the time, was Richard X and Kelis' "Finest Dreams". August 2003 was also when the UK recorded its hottest day on record. *Factoid*
November 7, 201410 yr Damnit Iz, this is why on your first listen you don't go 'oh that's one's nice, I like this one, and that one, that one's not bad either' until you end up with TWENTY EIGHT out of 30 you 'wouldn't mind' voting for. Best semi I've been in for a long long time. Or maybe I'm just in a good mood. There were definitely quite a number of fantastic discoveries even if I raise my standards a bit though, 5 songs I'd happily call a favourite. Which gives me a nice top 5. And that means I've voted.

November 7, 201410 yr I'm sorry for the tight deadline people, but 6 day deadlines are not without precedent. You will have a whole 7 days for the final.

November 7, 201410 yr Voted ~ A top 2 consisting of countries i rarely point highly, if at all, so yay for that.
November 8, 201410 yr *5 Well, if we truly wish to nitpick the thread went properly live before 12 noon on Sunday so 5.5. Therefore we are both out by the same margin. I'm not going to pretend this was ideal and it hasn't been flaw free, but it is what it is and I will make no further apology on the matter.
