I'm not ashamed of all my mistakes

#11 Into The Blue // Kiss Me Once // Avg: 8.553 (11: Kellyann), (10: Acidburn, Regina, Liam, Mr Aly, Luciano, Red Blooded Man, Jay), (5.5/5: Nick F1, Gezza, Vibe)

At #11 and just outside the top 10 is one of Kylie's most recent efforts "Into The Blue", released in January 2014 as the lead single from her 12th album "Kiss Me Once" and the final one from that era to feature on here. The song received rave reviews from fans and critics and was recorded on Kylie's 45th birthday in May 2013. But despite all the praise the song didn't perform as well as most of her former lead singles by peaking at #12 in the UK and performing even worse in Australia by peaking at #46. In other countries it hit top 10 in Croatia, Ireland, Japan and Scotland, while hitting top 20 in Spain and Hungary and top 40 in Finland, Germany, Swiss, Austria and Luxembourg. Even though it underperformed it still found a lot of love on this rate, with several high scores and will always be placed in fans hearts as one of her all time greats.

'Into The Blue' has really grown to become one of my firm Kylie favourites this year. It's fantastic lyrically, well produced and with a soaring anthemic chorus. J'adore.

When I think about it, I wish this was the song she'd have come back with in 2007. It's sort of what everyone wanted from her at the time in terms of its sound, and the lyrics would have been fitting as a statement of empowerment after what she'd been through in the years before.

My ideal order would be this:

10. I Believe In You

9. Your Disco Needs You

7. Confide In Me

6. All The Lovers

5. The One

4. Better The Devil You Know

3. Love At First Sight

2. In My Arms

1. On A Night Like This

3. X

2. Fever

1. Light Years

A very decent top 10, my top 4 there are all total 11/10 worthy tracks in any rate. A bit surprised to see 'Your Disco Needs You' make the top 10 here though.

Thank god 'In The Blue' didn't crack the top 10 (in more than one way unfortunately for Kylie :kink:)

It is good but nowhere near Kylie's best. Massively over-rated just because it's better than most of the dross on the album.

I'd like confide in me to win cos its fantastic song. Albumswise, lightyears is the best of the ones left.

How do you describe a feeling?

#10 In My Arms // X // Avg: 8.607 (11: Liam, MIKEMYER, Mr Aly), (10: Acidburn, Nick F1, Kelyann, Jester, Red Blooded Man, Jay) (4: Regina, Gezza)

Now kicking off our top 10 is "In My Arms" with a respectable average of 8.607, and was released in February 2008 as the 2nd European single from her 10th album X, and later released as the 3rd in June 2008 in the UK and Australia. The song itself was written and produced by Calvin Harris and it is a synthpop with elements of dance music and was deemed an early highlight and potential hit. Originally this was meant to be released as the lead USA single, but another track
was released instead. Worldwide the song's success was rather mixed while it did make successful top 10 peaks in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany (her first since 2003's Slow), Belgium, France (her first since 2001's CGYOOMH), Swiss and UK (becoming her 32nd over there). Also top 20 peaks in Ireland, Sweden, Austria and Netherlands. In Australia it only managed a #35 peak, her first too miss the top 20 in 10 years, while failing to chart altogether in New Zealand, like most of the album's singles over there.

In my Arms is her best song, meh.

Can't Get You Out Of My Head for 9th and Confide in Me to smash now please.

Forever destined for #10.

It's my second favourite Kylie song ever, pure euphoric joy.

I'll never forget that tense release week where we were all eager to see if it scraped into the top 10 or not. It was nailbiting.

Maybe time to get in touch with Kylie's botox clinic?

LOL! I should re-phrase it to "The song hasn't aged with me that well", is it grammatically correct?

#09 Your Disco Needs You // Light Years // Avg: 8.678 (11: Gezza, Davidson, Aled, Jester, bartsimpson, MichaelCarty), (10: Acidburn, Regina, Kellyann, Simon, Luciano) (2:مدهش*)

At #9 in our countdown is the infamous "Your Disco Needs You" and again another surprise, I knew that this was popular, but never expected it to feature in the top 10, I was expecting top 20 maybe, but the scores speak for themselves. Released in January 2001 as the 5th and final single from her 7th album "Light Years". The song itself is a traditional disco song which remains pretty much the theme of the album and caused a major uproar among fans and critics. The track didn't get a UK release, which angered many fans and they even protested outside the record company lobbying for it's release. Instead the Latin tinged Please Stay was released instead as the 4th single. It was due to the song's campness which is why it wasn't released over there and to avoid her being further stereotyped, which is ridiculous cause it would made a fantastic release and I do enjoy "PS" as well and maybe if both tracks were released as a double a-side in the UK, then it could have stormed the charts. Worldwide the song performed moderately despite being so popular, it had a limited release in Australia and peaked at #20, and hit top 30 peaks in Germany and Swiss.

The campest song ever made, fact.

It's not one I listen to often unless I'm playing through the Light Years album. It is of course brilliant fun when you're drunk.

#03. X // 2007 // Avg: 8.634 (11: Ultraviolence1989, Regina, Liam, Davidson, Kellyann), (10: Acidburn, bartsimpson, Kyliefan '14), (4: Gezza)

At #3 in our albums rate is "X" which was Kylie's 10th album released in November 2007 and first since her battle with breast cancer. A number of producers worked on this album namely Bloodyshy and Avant, Guy Chambers, Calvin Harris and Freemasons. Also loads more but their tracks didn't make the final cut, including Jake Shears penned song
, which was a surprise as it's deeply moving and touching, and received positive feedback. The end results doesn't really see anything personal lyrically and instead sees Kylie mixing various styles of sounds such as dance-pop, electro, synthpop and even urban, and while there are some fantastic moments, but quite a few fillers and the various themes don't make the album flow the way it should have, feeling like it was rushed and disjointed.

The album opens up with a bit of glam rock styled
which takes time to grow on you with each listen, but doesn't really sum up the album's sound. Like A Drug goes for the electropop sound and fits her voice perfectly and counterposing her delicate vocals against killer synth basslines, and
follows in the same vein but with a twang guitar riff opening and a harder electro dance sound, as it's one of the Bloodshy and Avant penned tracks. The freemasons produced track The One which well and truly soars with it's electronic and disco sounds mixed to perfection. Even R&B comes into the middle of the album with
which is one of the only personal songs on the album, but this and track 9 does sound slightly out of place. But the lovely
which really kicks in when the chorus gets going. But weaker moments such as
makes me wonder with the amount of great tracks left off, why was this included, okay it's quite fun and catchy, but doesn't really go anywhere and along with some of the other fillers does bog the album down.

On the whole its great, but way too many fillers and if more time was spent on it, instead of being rushed for the X-Mas market, then it could have been something incredible, and with the amount of people that worked on it, a lot of them were pushed off the final product, so what needs to be done is to right these wrongs and then maybe get her career back on track.

So now just 2 albums left Light Years VS Fever, who will come out on top

03. X
04. Aphrodite
05. Rhythm Of Love
06. Kylie
07. Impossible Princess
08. Enjoy Yourself
09. Kylie Minogue
10. Kiss Me Once
11. Body Language
12. Let's Get To It
