Omg yes Octahate <3 I think it was just released on Soundcloud and blew up, I knew she was signed by a major label and I'm sure I read it was being added to US radio so it could easily be a hit.

Also, MY CHRIST that Freaks "song" is terrible :/ Wow.

out-of-nowhere thread bump :o any songs y'all think could be big for the summer and beyond?

Sigala - Easy Love - tropical house is becoming one of the "in" sounds atm, this song has a recognisable sample and is very accessible, with the right support this should be big

Silento - Watch Me - terrible song, but will of course be huge

Jason Derulo ft. J.Lo & Matoma - Try Me - will SAIL into the top 5 if they release it, very surprised this isn't the 2nd single actually

Andy Grammer - Honey, I'm Good - a slow-burning hit over here? Instantly catchy and commercial radio will eat this up

Ty Dolla $ign ft. Charli XCX & Tinashe - Drop That Kitty - also depends if this gets a proper push. Quite accessible, and mostly anything with Dj Mustard-esque production that picks up substantial airplay usually does well here

Grace ft. G-Eazy - You Don't Own Me is a potential one. It could just be one of those fluke Aussie hits that doesn't break out worldwide but it sounds like a massive hit and it's a monster of a song, it's been #1 in Aus and is currently #2 on NZ itunes!

This could be huge if it gets support, I really hope it does!

On a similar note, Conrad Sewell of Firestone fame (and Grace's brother :heehee:) could quite easily be huge if he gets radio support, he's had an Aussie #1 with Start Again which sounds like something radios would LAP up, and Hold Me Up is perfectly accessible too. I just pray his management don't muck it up :drama:

Rich Homie Quan - Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)

another US urban song I could see being a minor hit.

Felix Jaehn - Ain't Nobody (Loves Me Better) (feat. Jasmine Thompson)

massive #1 in the making.

DJ Snake - You Know You Like It (feat. AlunaGeorge)

DJ Snake really is hot right now, can see this being a big smash.

Tiesto & KSHMR - Secrets (feat. Vassy)

if they actually bother releasing it properly that is. It was top 100 from a Tiesto mix compilation so has the potential.

Matoma & The Notorious B.I.G - Old Thing Back (feat. Ja Rule & Ralph Tresvant)

the boat has probably already sailed now, but this could still end up smashing.

Oliver Heldens & Shaun Frank - Shades of Grey (feat. Delaney Jane)

this should return Oliver to the top 10.

Joe Stone - The Party (This Is How We Do It) (feat. Montell Jordan)

big 90s sample + house vibez = hit single

Hayden James - Something About You

released in the middle of August, could be a minor summer smash

Tough Love - Pony (Jump On It) (feat. Ginuwine)

another big 90s sample, will probably be as big as So Freakin Tight if not bigger.

You Know You Like It has all the making a of a big hit, but isn't its release date in two weeks time? I hear it at circuit training all the time and people seem to know it. Would love the Rich Home Quan song to be a hit too, catchy as anything

This is #2 in America right now, sounds like it could do well here. Typical catchy Chris Brown hook and solid verses from Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj. Has that 'anytime-since-2010' feel to it as well.

Very similar to Gecko (the vocals, not the beat). Sounds very radio-friendly and surely Karen Harding has enough hype after Say Something smashed?

Matter of when, rather than if, to be honest.

currently #1 in Sweden

potentially the Waves of 2015 except not as big, sounds quite good and with it being a deep house/sax song it'll certainly have a chance of smashing

I win the thread.

Though if anything I totally underestimated just how huge the song was going to be!!

DJ Snake - You Know You Like It (feat. AlunaGeorge)

DJ Snake really is hot right now, can see this being a big smash.

Totally missed chance here. Great track but totally ruined release strategy. :(

Wow looking back on the op your predictions were rather spot on Dan *.* :D
