I am surprised to see Labrinth move up to number 3 ahead of Olly Murs, my own opinion of the new Labrinth song is boring. However, i suspect Ollys other versions are climbing resulting in the higher version dropping, album version of the song appears to be increasing.

Take That are looking on course for a number 2 matching the success of the Flood, i do believe These Days will sell in similar quantities to the flood in opening week but i am not so sure it will match its over all, sales. The Flood to my knowledge is approaching platinum status of 600,000 sales.

I really like the Emeli Sande and David Guetta collaboration and had just assumed it would be a sure fire top 10 hit, it appears my assumption was wrong.

Olly now also top 5 on Streaming as of this morning so that will help alot :)

That Labrinth record is laughably bad. Can't believe anyone is buying it. It's almost like a parody.
Interesting that Leona and Little Mix are both releasing outside the Q4 period! I'm sure if Little Mix have another killer lead single to kickstart the era, their album will do fine (and probably re-released in time for X Factor live shows/Christmas market). Unsure about Leona although, with a change in record company, perhaps the album won't need to rely on the high Christmas sales. That said, this does seem to be her last chance of getting things right again and prove that 'One More Sleep' wasn't just a one off.

Looking forward to what Rihanna has in store - considering she's taken longer to make this album, hopefully it shall be a step-up from her previous two and will be high quality pop/R&B. Emeli Sande will either do great or really badly, fingers crossed it's not the latter and that she has a few more 'Heaven' style tracks up her sleeve! Madonna seems to be going down a similar route to MDNA but looking at some of the artists she has collaborated with, it could potentially be a lot better and have some gems on it!

I think the Little Mix decision to release out of Q4 is so Syco can properly focus on their next album. Although Salute got rave reviews from critics, it didn't do as well as it could've done and I think that's down to the Christmas rush. Plus both of their previous albums have been released in the US in February, maybe their third one is going to be a simultaneous release worldwide?

Leona's new album is shaping up to be a more credible album than Glassheart it seems. She's worked with the producers of 'Chandelier', 'All Of Me', 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' etc so it is easy enough to predict the sound. In terms of success I have no idea how she's going to do but she has the best team around her to date so a more creative approach is possible.

I agree with what you say about Emeli. It seems like she needs to release soon before people move on but then she may clash with Adele which won't be good for her. She definitely needs another Heaven and no more Clown's. I'm looking forward to Rihanna's new album. I really hope it is actually amazing. Unapologetic was the only Rihanna album I've not bought other than her debut.

405. Andy Williams- It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

427. Michael Buble- Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)

475. Mud- Lonely This Christmas

500. The Ronettes- Sleigh Ride

I think Little Mix not releasing in Q4 this year could prove to be a fatal mistake for them, to me the whole thing seems like everyone working on it had not got their act together in time (as indicated by them cancelling their US tour to work on the third album, which gave them a ton of bad publicity).

I was thinking, should we get rid of the first Kworb link from the opening post and make the dreamhosters replacement as its official address? Doesn't look like it will be fixed now as it's been down a while

Wow, good collab choices there then! I heard she left Syco because the music they were given her wasn't true to the artist she is or something (creative differences essentially) so presumably her new record company are giving her more freedom and will hopefully give her a good album campaign.

Emeli needs to do ballads with a good beat in the background like most successful ballads have had recently (she did have a few of them on her last album, like 'Daddy' and 'My Kind of Love', so something like that. Just, like you say, no 'Clown' records!!).

With the lack of upcoming releases and a rumoured X Factor final performance, could Taylor's 'Blank Space' be a number 1 after Christmas - much like 'Paradise' was I guess? She's the only one actually climbing consistently in the top 10 and there aren't many new releases that aren't going to get ahead of her.

It could get there in a quiet week I guess...

(in the sales only chart )

There is always an annual track that behaves just like that. Namely Happy, Scream & Shout, Paradise (& Good Feeling) What's My Name, Bad Romance etc.

Could definitely see Blank Space filling that trait this time round but I just wonder if it'll manage #1 without streaming points...

News just in. Bart Baker is suing Timothy for plagiarising his work.

<_<

Come on, it's not that bad, it's just instrumentally week!

Ah those tricky slow burners eh? Very hard to predict!

Have you even heard the lyrics? It's a pathetic track all round.

It sounds like a bad thing for me to say as I know it's all subjective at the end of the day, but it really dumbfounds me that people would actually hear that and decide to purchase it.

Don't even suggest this kind of disaster... :puke2:

Yes I've heard of it but I'm not keen on it either. I do admit its lyrics are rubbish and make no sense at all, but I thought it was because I'm not so keen on the "shy instrument" style of music with basically only the vocals to listen to. I'm surprised there's so much hate on it over here :o Looking on YT's stats:

13,459 :D

161 :nocheer:

That's an average of 1 in 83 people disliking the song. It might be, randomly that maybe a quarter of that 161 people are from BJ

Another thing Buzzjack seems to be doing differently to the outside world is the amount of  to Anaconda, when clearly there's a lot of hate on it (as there is with Nicki anyway and her over-sexual videos). I think it sounds almost as bad as Stupid Hoe but now I'll refresh this page and see people saying how awesome Stupid Hoe is.
