November 26, 201410 yr Ooh excellent! I really enjoyed it when the 2012 countdown happened. It's a shame we didn't have one in 2013
November 26, 201410 yr To posters mentioning that the EOY chart will be a top 100 - that would just me in my earlier post assuming (well, hoping!) it will be a top 100. The actual size of the chart has yet to be announced. I imagine it will be a top 100 though as spreading just a top 40 through over 9 hours of programming would be unlikely.
November 26, 201410 yr I think its 3rd Jan (Sat-end of sales week) It will probably be 27 December. The cut-off point for last years end of year chart was 28 December
November 27, 201410 yr It will probably be 27 December. The cut-off point for last years end of year chart was 28 DecemberIt looks like you might be right about the cut-off date. The last three times December 27 has fallen on a Saturday (1997, 2003 and 2008) it has been the sales cut-off point for the chart year (with the charts being dated 3 January). It does mean that 4 days worth of sales from 2014 will fall into the 2015 chart year, which will (or should) run 28 December 2014 to 2 January 2016. I assume that next year will be one of those 53 week chart years that we sometimes get. Edited November 27, 201410 yr by Robbie
November 27, 201410 yr I wonder will the OCC do a seperate year end chart counting just proper sales, excluded streams?..
November 27, 201410 yr I wonder will the OCC do a seperate year end chart counting just proper sales, excluded streams?..I'd imagine they'll publish an article with perhaps a top 10 or top 20 but I can't see them doing anything more than that...

It would be fair to have every end of year chart start on New Years Eve and have 30 December the following year as the cut off point
November 28, 201410 yr Or better still, running from 1 Jan-31 Dec. It surely can't be beyond the whit of the OCC with all the computerised returns to have an annual chart based on solely sales within that year?

I agree 100%, It wouldn't be difficult for the OCC to base the chart year on an actual calendar year. It would mean Radio 1 counting down the EOY chart on New Year's Day though.

Yeah I'm certain it will be a top 100 or a top 125/150. 10 hours is a long time. Edited December 10, 201410 yr by HonkBonkXMAS
