UV: Problem never really hit me at the time hence the poor chart run but I love it now. Not sure it'll make the T100 singles though..Glad you're loving Lorde too because I certainly, hope she maintains success into her second era and all eras to come afterwards.

James: Me too, I've never been that keen on the, but their output this era has been fantatic!

Jade: I'm getting it for xmas too, very excited to add it to the CD shelf. The first album I'll own from him but I've always been a casual fan of those stellar pop tunes he puts out

Thanks !

FOUR and If You Wait i like out of the next batch.

The former shows so much progression for the band, it's a very mature album and so consistent. They've grown on each album imo. IYW is stunning too obviously, does things to me.

Lovely to see 'Aquarius', 'FOUR' (:o) and 'My Everything' pop up here  All stunning albums. good boy having '18' in your 'FOUR' highlights also :heehee: x

Haus: I agree the former is a huge step forward from their previous output, I'll be very very happy if their tunes stay this great. And who can resist a bit of Hannah's voice, it's stunning *-*

Calum: 18 is definitely a highlight, would love it to be a future single but there are still a few I'd prefer to be singles first.

16 Kathleen / (24-16-20-21-44) 5 weeks

29 Homesick / (29-41-30) 3 weeks

08 Pacifier / (40-42-8-9-17-27-50) 7 weeks

This band definitely take me a while to get as indicated by the low-ish peaks for Fallout/Kathleen which are both now amazing, especially the latter. This band are an excellent bit of rock music and the lead singer Van has a nice voice too. The best thing about them though is their huge choruses and catchy hooks, definitely one of my favourite discoveries in 2014. You'll be seeing more from them in the singles countdown too because Cocoon >> .

Chart run: (2-1-3-5-5-6-10-...) 7 weeks (so far)

Hit singles:

14 Tough Love / (43-xx[1]-27-18-14-39) 5 weeks

01 Say You Love Me / (5-4-6-2-2-1-4-8-7-9-17-30-48) 13 weeks

14 You & I (Forever) / (14-40-32-...) 3 weeks (so far)

Well, this is a lady I never really took much notice of at all during her debut era. I LOVED 110% but never really heard anything else so never bothered with her album that time (and still haven't listened to it yet) but after loving the stunning vocals and production on Tough Love and the stunning Say You Love Me (which you will definitely be seeing in the top 100 singles) and I was NOT disappointed. The production is just so complimentary to her angelic vocals, she really is stunning, hoping this era picks up for her but glad she's got two top 40 hits from it :D

Here are my highlights:

• Say You Love Me

• You & I (Forever)

• Sweetest Song

• Kind Of...Sometimes...Maybe

• Tough Love

Wasn't a big fan of 'Tough Love' the album i'm afraid. It was nice... but that was it for me.

The lead single i ADORE though so at least i got something special from the era

Chart run: (1-2-2-4-4-5-9-...) 7 weeks (so far)

Hit singles:

12 Burnin' Up / (47-xx[3]-12-41) 3 weeks

06 Masterpiece / (6-16) 2 weeks

Jessie is an artist I've always been a fan of, she definitely has a talent in the voice (pun completely intended and I'm proud of it tbh) department. This album was very strong and all of the tracks are all very catchy, not quite as Who You Are for me but still incredibly strong.

Here are my highlights:

• Bang Bang

• Masterpiece

• Personal

• Ain't Been Done

• Sweet Talker

38 Slow Acid / (42-38-39) 3 weeks

04 Open Wide / (5-4-35) 3 weeks

Alongside Guetta, this is another example of not changing the formula if it still works fantastically and this man's formula is certainly still working. This album is home to probably his best song ever Pray to God which is just such a perfect fusion of both Haim and Calvin.

Here are my highlights:

• Pray to God

• Dollar Signs

06. Lily Allen - Sheezus

Chart run: (1-3-3-1-2-4-4-4-3) 9 weeks

Hit singles:

15 Our Time / (15-29-36-31-29-27-18-40) 8 weeks

16 Sheezus / (18-16-28-24-34) 5 weeks

06 URL Badman / (21-30-11-7-12-6-20-29) 8 weeks

26 As Long As I Got You / (26-26-39) 3 weeks

The long-awaited third studio album from Lily was certainly no disappointment, lyrically excellent as we have come to expect from her and all of the songs were catchy. My personal favourite tune on here is the personal heartfelt album track Take My Place which sounds a bit like The Fear to me actually, if you haven't heard it, you definitely should go and listen now.

Here are my highlights:

• Take My Place

• Our Time

05. Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence

Chart run: (2-1-2-1-5-5-5-2-7-7-8-7-9-10-9-10) 16 weeks

Hit singles:

11 West Coast / (25-19-13-15-11-19-29) 7 weeks

09 Shades of Cool / (24-9-19-26-35) 5 weeks

08 Brookyln Baby / (8-30-41-49) 4 weeks

11 Ultraviolence / (11-xx[2]-28-43-35-33-46-39-24-43) 9 weeks

Lana is someone I really wasn't keen on during her debut album but this was a complete turnaround for me (and it made me love her debut too, Gods & Monsters and Blue Jeans are both 11/10 moments tbh). This direction for her was much more darker but it's really stunning, her voice really shines on Shades of Cool and she sounds so angelic. Old Money is the album highlight though

Here are my highlights:

• Old Money

• Florida Kilos

• Shades of Cool

• Sad Girl

• Ultraviolence

Some amazing albums Jsanta

Sweet talker is very good, nowhere near as good as WYA but 100x better than alive

Motion is ok but pray to god is just stunning

I adore Sheezus, especially as long as I got you

And unsurprisingly ultraviolence is absolutely amazing and easily one of the best albums this year. Have you heard the big eyes tracks?

Jessie and Lily, yass  'Sweet Talker' is so much better than I thought it'd be! Glad to see you like the two best tracks as well ('Masterpiece' and 'Ain't Been Done'). Really don't get the continual criticism though because this really is a major step up from 'Alive', and a thousand miles better than 'Who You Are'. I guess she'll never be able to win some people over, but that's their loss.

UV: I agree WYA is better but ST isn't that far behind really, it's very solid. Never listened to Alive so can't really comment there :o

Pray To God really is fantastic, will be gutted if it isn't the next single really, I'd love to see both artists get a another/first top 10.

Not heard the Big Eyes tracks yet as I've been so busy but I've read good things about them so I definitely will do soon.

Calum: I wasn't expecting much from ST even though Bang Bang was excellent but I loved it. They are both very good tracks, hoping for either as a future single but I feel that we aren't going to be getting many singles from this era at all. I guess she does have a lot of detractors but she has fans too and she's still getting T10 singles/albums so hopefully she'll continue to be successful in the future!

Thank you both!

Chart run: (3-2-2-2-5-4-4-5-5-7-8-9-10) 13 weeks

Hit singles:

23 Give Up / (23-34) 2 weeks

26 Pendulum / (34-26-34) 3 weeks

01 Video Girl / (10-4-1-13-42) 5 weeks

This is an album I instantly was addicted too despite it taking a while for me to get her singles at first (as illustrated by Two Weeks' low peak despite it being fabulous). This album is just so different to anything I've heard before but it all just works so well. Gutted at her not winning the Mercury Prize but hoping she still keeps providing songs like this because I'm certainly a fan. You'll be seeing more from her in the top 100 singles countdown too.

Here are my highlights:

03. Ed Sheeran - x

Chart run: (5-6-6-2-2-9-4-6-1-3-4-6-8-7-6-7-8-9-10-3-6) 21 weeks

Hit singles:

47 Sing / (47) 1 week

04 Don't / (45-xx[2]-43-17-4-9-46) 6 weeks

22 Thinking Out Loud / (27-22-30-xx[5]-45-xx[3]-47) 5 weeks

Now here is the UK's most successful album of the year and my third most favourite. I didn't think he'd top '+' but he really has with this album, the melodies are stronger and the album itself just much better. I wasn't keen on Sing at first as you can see by its chart run here but it's definitely a great single looking back. Don't is on another level though and perhaps his best single for me now, unbelievably catchy and I really wish it did better commercially. The next single showcases his excellent ballad side too and there are plenty of good ones on this album, I think Afire Love is probably the best but evidently Thinking Out Loud is a very worthy single choice. This album is also my longest running album so far...

Here are my highlights:

• Don't

• Afire Love

• Bloodstream

• I'm A Mess

• Nina

LP1 slays. Probably the best overall album for me this year. ADORE.
