It's not a re-make..... It's a f***ing SHAM! It's got nothing to do with the original at all! not even underground or anything! How dare some f*** witt try and make Romero's work better then it is!

He couldn't make a good zombie film with Land Of The Dead so what makes some clown with f*** all experience or original ideas about a zombie think that he could do better?

f***in' stupid if you ask me.

You are confusing two films. The upcoming Day Of The Dead IS a remake of the original. You are probably confusing it with the Day Of The Dead - Contagion straight-to-video c**p that was released last year and has nothing to do with the original. And it was absolutely dreadful film in every way. The remake won't be released for quite some time .

There's a Hollywood remake of the South-Korean psychological horror masterpiece "A Tale of Two Sisters" on the way too! <_<

Jeepers Creepers 3 is apparently coming out sometime in the future.

I enjoyed the 1st one, the 2nd way was OK in parts, but I don't think a 3rd one would work at all. Mind you, the ending of the 2nd one set it up for potentially another film.

Jeepers Creepers was good for the first 30 minutes or so, but then when they introduced Batman into it, it went downhill. I'd have liked the idea of him being some crazed lunatic, creepy looking dude more I think....It was okay for what it was.

The second one was rubbish.

I loved the 1st one. It scared me loads when I first watched it, but that might have been because I was quite young.

The 2nd one was terrible though, bar the first 15 minutes which I thought were quite good. Thing I didn't like about the 2nd one was they had all those characters that randomly disappeared and we never saw again when they all fled the bus.

I actually thought "Land of the Dead" was better with a second viewing on DVD tbh.... I was probably expecting way too much when I saw it at the cinema and left disappointed. But then I watched it again a couple of years later on an "Unrated" DVD (which actually is a fair bit gorier and has a few more scenes than the cinema version..), and it was actually better than I remembered it....

I thought the first one way, even thou very basic horror, still very entertaining and I did like it. I think I might have it on dvd even.

The second one was both really boring and also quite weird considering the not-so-nice past of the director. First the boring part: I mean nothing happens in this damn film. We get like 60+ minutes of the creeper circeling the bus and the teens screaming for nothing. Absolutely nothing happens and when finally something happens you just don't care anymore because it is so predictable/boring/you are already half-asleep. And the gay-vibe is just weird (semi-naked dudes in very long shots) considering the director is a convicted child molestor (he molested and even taped the molesting of a 12-year boy who stared in his previous film). When I see his films this always comes to my mind and I get this ankward feeling.

And they let this scumbag actually direct another film featuring kids???? The mind fukkin' boggles.... <_<

I bet the studio made sure every dude on set was over the age of consent (at least in that state). Actually what puzzles me the most about this guy is why on hell did Disney let him direct the kiddie flick Powder after he had served his time in prison (and he did serve only 15 months of something like 3 or 4 year sentence so he got it easy). I mean Disney emplying child-molester to direct a kiddie film??!! At least the dude he molested came out to public when the film was to be released and demanded a boycott and I'm sure that helped the film to bomb at the box office.

No, i'm not getting confused, i'm saying it's not a remake cos from what i've seen of the trailer it has nothing to do with the original, the original being Romero's 80's classic, not some piece of $h!t released last year. If this is a so called remake why isn't it set in an underground missle silo?

The only problem is that there has been absolutely no trailer, not even a teaser trailer, released from the upcoming remake so it is impossible for you to have seen a trailer since there is no trailer yet.

And I stand corrected, I got it mixed up with another horror film. At least you are paying more attention than me. Well, at least it is marketed as a remake even thou it seems very different (at least they are heading towards the underground silo).

they're still making those?

No death is going to stop them from doing more sequels if the last one made enough money. And since Saw IV made about $65 million at the US box office we will get Saw V for this Halloween (it will open in the US 24/10/08). $65 million was on the other hand down about 20% from the previous one (and that was down about another 10% from Saw II) so if the box office results will keep on falling like this I think either V or VI will be the final Saw flick. Thou since Saw flicks do have really small budgets they would make profit if a sequel would even cross $15m but I doubt they would be willing to go much below the first part's $55m. When a sequal fails to cross that I think that's it for this film franchise.

yeah...

so how do they carry them on? do they do it in flashbacks?

There are several rumours about the plot of Saw V. One is that it might explain what happened to Corbett (the daughter of the main couple in Saw III), another involves the origins of Billy (the puppet that delivers the messages), etc. I guess Costas Mandylor's character (Riggs) could contunue as the new jigsaw. And, of course, they could do some kinda prequel (thou with all the flashbacks in IV that would be kinda stupid IMO). So there are plenty of choices, including something totally original with similar traps but all new characters.

Saw V will be a, you love it or hate it film! I LOVE all 4 Saw's (3-1-4-2 - Being the order id put them in) But i cant wait for Saw V - Obviously they have more ideas hence the reason why there are so many! :)

Oh and just a piece of advice - I work at a cinema and we had a press screening for 'Day of the Dead' and it was 'one of the worst films ever' apparently! :S - But tbh the trailer does look pretty $hIt! It looks like a zombie film filmed in the way of Cloverfield! But Cloverfield was worth filming like the it was! Why does someone else need to copy??! :(

The Day of the Dead "remake" is just utter cack... When you're talking about a director (Steve Miner) being more famous for his TV work and a couple of crappy "Friday the 13th" sequels being delusional enough to believe he can fit into Romero's boots, then you're in trouble....
