So we have triple Taylor between 81-90 and she starts us off at 90 with her 3rd #1 from the 1989 era with New Romantics. New Romantics zooms into the chart with only 1 week sales and is the current number 1 at the moment. I absolutely adore this track and have no clue why it is only a deluxe track. Something for the dance fans now as Prayer In C made a little splash in my chart by peaking in the top 3 and selling very well. Most people seem to hate Nasty on this site but I absolutely adore it, this had a bad chart run but sold very well and is the first of 4 entries for Pixie in the top 100. How Long Will I Love You was one of those slow burner hits that spent 9 weeks in the top 40 but never going higher than 30. The song re-entered back in August due to an appearance in the TV show In The Club and the song just hung around forever after that. Shades Of Cool was another big hit for Lana and a top 10 hit for her while Taylor's other entries are for album track All You Had To Do Was Stay and instant grat Welcome To New York. Calm After The Storm missed out on the #1 spot by 2k and did very well for a Eurovision song and it is a great song and New Slang is the 2nd highest song in this countdown I believe to miss the top 10. This song re-entered after I finally saw the amazing Garden State. And ending this section is Foxes with her best track Holding Onto Heaven which became a sleeper hit. December 30, 201410 yr Just put 1989 on now and I think WTNY has clicked with me fully now, a lovely album opening. Not sure I want it to be a single but it's very good anyway. That leaves Clean/This Love as the worst tracks then. Shades of Cool is absolutely gorgeous, her voice in the chorus is just heavenly. Definitely one of her best ever singles for me, wish it got a single push with radio support and stuff :( The video for it was the best this era too.

Stevie- Kasabian 289,120 8-2-10-28-.... 80. My Heart Will Go On- Celine Dion 283,110 PEAKED AT 3 IN 2014 So starting of this section is Celine Dion with her stunning ballad from Titanic which always re-enters every year somewhere in my chart so beware Buzzjack in 2015 if you hate this song. I have always liked Stevie but I fell in love with it when I saw them live which saw this becoming their highest ever peaking song at #2 in my charts, however it has fallen off pretty quickly due to the Christmas market. Anyway despite being Kasabian's highest peaking song here, #3 peaking hits Fire + Club Foot both sold over a million, #5 peaking song Underdog has sold 800k and with Eez-Eh also ahead, this is definitely not their biggest selling song here. Pray To God will hopefully be re-entering my charts when it should become a single in a few months and this saw Calvin Harris get a shock top 10 hit, anyway this is mostly down to Haim's impeccable vocals. Unsurprisingly this is Calvin's last entry and Haim have 1 more to go. The queen of 2014 is here again with Bad Blood which was one of the standouts when I first heard the album and I have a feeling it could become a single. Up is one of the most recent #1's in this chart and was the shock Christmas number #1. It is a great collaboration which especially Demi shines on and despite the big 2nd week fall, it still sold superbly. Demi is also here with the 2nd of 3 renditions of Let It Go here this year. Demi's version peaked at 4 before falling out of the chart quickly after it was banned from Ultraviolenceland because I could only remember how Demi's version went and not Idina's but then when Idina's verison got stuck in my head properly, Demi's version was unbanned and sold more after Lauren sang it on X-Factor. This section also sees double Pixie. When will your faves? The first of 2 songs from Pixie is Caravan Of Love which is a nice cover and was on the Matalan advert, this gave Pixie her 4th top 10 hit this year and had a respectable chart run. Pixie's other song is the amazing Lay Me Down which deserved to be a big hit. It was Pixie's 2nd of 3 songs peaking at #5 in 2014 and despite the heavy falls in the 3rd and especially 4th week, it held on really well in the end and has sold greatly. Pixie has 1 more song to go [which should be obvious which one it is] and the big question is has it made the top 50 this year [a little hint: less than 1,000 copies decided its fate to whether it made it or not]. Also here is Rita's #1 smash hit I Will Never Let You Down which did look set to smash here but I got bored of it by the time it was released. However many re-entries has lead this to a solid sales total. And The Saturdays are here with their only entry for 2014, summer smash What Are You Waiting For. This debuted at #3 with very strong sales of 135k before falling off a cliff and then climbing up a bit again. Anyway it was a good hit for The Saturdays here and it passed over 300k. Finest Selection: The Greatest Hits- The Saturdays 724,200 1-1-5-8-1-3-2-3-4-10-8-9-5--X Highlights: Forever Is Over, Issues, Just Can't Get Enough, Ego, Up And Mollie, Rochelle, Una, Vanessa and Frankie also appear very high up in the album chart with their greatest hits collection that spent 3 weeks at #1. It debuted at #1 where it held the summit for 2 weeks before returning a few weeks later during a quiet September sales week. The album spent a massive 13 weeks top 10 and includes their best songs such as the beautiful Issues, the criminally underrated Forever Is Over and the catchy and fun Just Can't Get Enough. And I am listening to Up now  51-70 will be up between 8:30-12;00 before the top 50 countdown through all of tomorrow :) Edited December 30, 201410 yr by Ultraviolence1989

Right Here- Jess Glynne 322,990 =5-12-19-22-21-26-20-21-15-18-22-28-33-X Starting of this section is another dance track, this time Right Here by Jess Glynne. This is definitely one of the best tracks this year and it created history in my chart when it had the first ever joint position in my chart [with Problem] after they sold the exact same copies. The song had a very good chart run and spent 13 weeks in the top 40. Next up is the final Christmas song [and best] to appear as Mariah managed a top 5 position and another 325k in sales. Despite the massive fall out of the top 40, there was actually another song this year that was at a higher position that fell out of the top 40 the next week. Ella Eyre scored her first big solo hit in style with If I Go which peaked at 4 and spent 15 weeks in the top 40 including 6 weeks at 31 [5 consecutive]. The next 5 songs all were re-entries at one point this year. The triple set of We Built This City [back because of an advert/The Muppets], Me Party [back because I watched The Muppets] and And I'm Telling You, I'm Not Going [back because I watched Dreamgirls again] all were big hits early this year. Money Power Glory reached a very high peak of 4 after the album was released and was later released as a single here where it improved its peak to #2 and became another successful hit for Queen Lana. And Lana was here again in 63 with one of the best songs of all time which spent 16 weeks this year between 12-24 and continued to sell bucketloads. Yours had had a very promising start so far and was Ella's 3rd top 4 peaking songs- the other 2 set to come and the public didn't care about I don't care after 1 week. The song is the 4th lowest selling #1 here [and Up + New Romantics will overtake it soon] and it only spent 6 weeks in the top 40 so it can be classed as a non number #1. Chandelier- Sia 368,640 3-3-7-13-17-18-23-34-X[x13]-34-X 60. Wrong Club- The Ting Tings 366,830 2-10-14-19-23-19-19-24-30-36-38-37-39-X And the last section before each of the top 50 is counted one by one reveals that Pixie Lott has made the top 50 with 1 song. Anyway The Ting Tings returned getting a shock hit and their first top 2 since Shut Up And Let Me Go. Despite little airplay, the song managed 13 weeks in the top 40 and was a massive success. Chandelier is amazing and looked like it could have been a surprise #1 when it went to the top spot in midweek but it settled for a very successful #3 peak in the end. Our Time was another good Lily song but should have never have been a single and Can't Remember To Forget You is a great collaboration between 2 amazing artists. Chloe Howl- who deserved to breakout so big this year- is here with her only song to chart this year in Rumour which hit #2. Sam Smith had a poor year bar the beautiful I'm Not The Only One which spent 15 weeks in the top 40 and is the first of 55 at least gold certified singles. The highest single in this countdown without reaching the top 10 is Break Free by Ariana Grande and Zedd which would have made the top 10 if it wasn't released so weirdly. The song spent 16 weeks top 40 and peaked at #11. One of the rare dance hits came in Changes while Kasabian's comeback Eez-Eh resulted in another big hit for them. And the last song before the top 50 is Learning To Fly which re-entered my charts after I watch Elizabethtown. Now its time for top 50 through all of tomorrow  ALBUM http://i759.photobucket.com/albums/xx240/MarthaJonesFan/Cover%20Sleeves/Shakira-Shakirastandard.png 23. December 30, 201410 yr What qualifies your songs into your charts? It seems only tracks included in your weekly charts are eligible to appear here. How do you find your tracks? I usually get mine from chart success (top 100) or if an artist I like makes a song or whatever :D All my 254 tracks in my EOY are in my library and if it isn't in my iTunes it isn't in my EOY   Also I can't always find time to listen to everything in the chart. You have great music taste so if you know anything you think I might enjoy (and probably will, it's unlikely I'll hate it which is rare :kink:) give me a shout ;)

December 30, 201410 yr Glad to see "If I Go" doing not too badly on here. I don't understand how it didn't smash the charts - it sounds like such a big hit.
December 31, 201410 yr Author Just put 1989 on now and I think WTNY has clicked with me fully now, a lovely album opening. Thanks Jsilv  Yay for WTNY clicking with you :cheer: Definitely agree with those 2 if you add I wish you would to that. Also agree about Shades Of Cool and I wish that + Ultraviolence got a proper single push Holding Onto Heaven is good, Foxes does really well singing in it :) Nasty is also good but surprised Prayer In C made it this high if you hate Waves  I think I prefer LIG by Demi (being a fan :kink:) perhaps I will add it to my EOY chart some day  I'm hit and miss on Sats song but it still is good :) and Lay Me Down is also good, bad flop on charts though :nocheer: Up seems low considering it was #1 last week but it only entered your chart then  I Don't Care has a great beat but the lyrics and singing aren't that great, sorry  If I Go has a good chorus but I don't keen on the verses  WBTC is good too, I've listened a couple of times and may get it :D Mariah was my fave xmas song but then Owl City comes in as usual  Right Here was a great lead after her two great ft. #1s this year, v. catchy :D Shame Break Free didn't get higher :( (yours and official, but I think it going to be released acc. to Release Schedule thread ) Chandelier is great but it seems 200 positions just isn't enough for me to fit in! :( What qualifies your songs into your charts? Guess I prefer the vocals + production a lot lot more  Idina > Demi for me obviously Up has only had potential for 2 weeks of sales which is why it is as low as it is, it should do well next year I really like the lyrics to I Don't Care but there is something I don't like about that song I love the verses of If I Go but I do agree that the chorus are better and its a shame Chandelier missed your top 200 :( Yeah it is mostly songs that made my weekly charts that qualify and I usually find my songs through the charts and artists I like. I will recommend you a couple of songs later in this countdown :) hey uv! a quick list of my faves, there are so many that I don't have time to comment but that's what happens when you have so many faves ~ 71. December 31, 201410 yr Author 50. The song first made an impact in November when it debuted at #5 and has spent 8 weeks top 40 [5 weeks top 20 and the other 3 going no lower than 22]. The song is a massive success and a great track which I wish was a single. I also adore the lyrics  17. Pixie Lott- Pixie Lott 575,310 Chart-Run: 2-5-8-7-6-4-1-7-7-7-X-X-X-3-8 http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a556/jennacolemanfan/PixieLott_zps814db773.png Highlights: Champion, Lay Me Down, Nasty, Break Up Song, Ocean, Heart Cry And Pixie manages to do very well with her self titled 3rd album which easily outsold her 2nd album and nearly is 2x platinum. This album also went to #1 after 7 weeks in the chart during a quiet sales week in late September or early October and spent a massive 12 weeks in the top 10 [including 4 weeks at 7]. I love this album and the 3 songs which have appeared in my EOY chart along with Break Up Song [which is like a #45 peaker for me], Ocean [i love this track] and Heart Cry are the main highlights from a great album for me

The song became her highest peaking song at #2 and spent 7 weeks top 40 with 3 of them top 10. I used to hate this song but I fell in love with it and I absolutely adore the lyrics, the track and Ella's voice
