yeah me too. Although I liked the song before the video premiered in all fairness. Possibly one of her very best songs tbh.

Oh and thanks Rich for the kind words :D

151 / James Newton-Howard Ft Jennifer Lawrence - The Hanging Tree / Peak #07 4 Weeks

158 / Christina Perri - I Don't Wanna Break / Peak #17 - 4 Weeks

159 / Maroon 5 Ft Gwen Stefani - My Heart Is Open / Peak #17 - 4 Weeks

160 / Taylor Swift - Welcome To New York / Peak #18 - 4 Weeks

Another instant grat from Taylor appears at 160 whilst album track 'My Heart Is Open' by Voice USA judges Adam Levine & Gwen Stefani is 159. Rather beautiful song may I add. Christina Perri is back again with 'I Don't Wanna Break', another album track at 158. From late last year is the 1st single from Little Mix's 2nd album, 'Move' at 157 whilst Critics Choice Award winner for 2015, James Bay makes waves with his debut track 'Hold Back the River' slotting in 156th. I'm sure like most of us we were very excited when it was announced that their would be a Band Aid 30 this year but sadly in the end those high expectations fell right through the roof when it all it really was, was a watered down limp effort and it does sound like half of them couldn't be bothered really. Anyway BA30 is 155. Queen Kelly Clarkson drops by for a 2nd year running with her effort Christmas track, 'underneath The Tree' it's also one of two appearances from her. Another album track and yet again it's another Christina Perri song which features who would go on to dominate this year... Ed Sheeran. The very cute 'Be My Forever' ends up at 153.

Kylie I forgive you for the non event that was the music video that accompanied this next track, 'I Was Gonna Cancel' which to be fair really wasn't that great a song. :( Finally we have the song that benefitted from being the soundtrack of the new Hunger Games Film, actress Jennifer Lawrence surprised us all with how good a singing voice she has on this and the instrumentation is class too. Another one of those songs that came out at the right time of year.

Welcome To New York is of course amazing and a fantastic album opener  Though track 1 on Speak Now and Red were both better

Move is amazing and definitely one of the best girlband songs of the last few years, Be My Forever is great and should have been a single and Underneath the tree is a great Christmas track

I love every song in that section bar hold back the river and the Maroon 5/Gwen collab [well I've never heard the latter one]

Great section Rob

and you said Maroon 5's album was terrible so you must've heard that track surely :o I suggest you do just for Gwen if you can't abide Adam :)

141 / Sam Smith - Like I Can / Peak #18 - 5 Weeks

142 / Kiesza - No Enemiesz / Peak #20 - 5 Weeks

143 / Sara Bareilles - Brave / Peak #20 - 5 Weeks

147 / Nicki Minaj - Anaconda / Peak #25 - 5 Weeks

148 / Jessie J Ft Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj - Bang Bang / Peak #34 - 5 Weeks

149 / The Veronicas - If You Love Someone / Peak #05 - 4 Weeks

150 / Kelly Clarkson - Wrapped In Red / Peak #06 - 4 Weeks

Starting off here at 150 is the final showing for Queen Kelly, oh well she'll be back to slaying next year with her new album I'm sure :) The 2nd single to be lifted off The Veronicas new album, 'If You Love Someone' is 149. Nicki finds herself making 3 appearances here :o first on 'Bang Bang' with Jessie J and then her two singles... 'Pills N Potions' & 'Anaconda'. You know the latter, booty shaking etc. Paloma is also sandwhiched between her with 'Can't Rely On You. Guess who produced it  (Pharell), Kaiser Chiefs enjoyed a little resurgence this year off the back of Ricky being a judge on the Voice UK. They even managed to get a UK #1 Album this year.

Sara Bareilles is feeling 'Brave' at 143, not faring as well as 'Love Song' did in 2008 when that reached #7 but it was nice to see her return with a decent song again. Kiesza and Sam Smith round this off with their first of a few tracks inside my top 200 with 'No Enemiesz' & 'Like I Can'.

Edited by Robert S

Like I can is really good and no Enemiesz deserved to be big :(

Bang bang is also great, anaconda is a guilty pleasure, if you love someone is a fantastic second single and can't rely on you is a spectacular and fantastic song

Great section Rob

138 / Royal Blood - Figure It Out / Peak #15 - 5 Weeks

139 / Saint Motel - My Type / Peak #17 - 5 Weeks

140 / Beyoncé - Pretty Hurts / Peak #18 - 5 Weeks

Beyoncé starts off this section at 140 with the lovely 'pretty Hurts'. I think this is my favourite by her this era followed by DIL. Saint Motel provide us with some indie cheer at 139 with 'My Type' and believe it or not and I find this interesting... from my hometown is Rock band Royal Blood :o the last people that are famous that did anything from my local area was The Ordinary Boys lol. Besides they managed to have a big first year on the music scene snatching a #1 album to their name. 'Figure It Out' is 138. Next we have Blunty again asking us to sing along at a campfire no doubt with his Firework day themed track 'Bonfire Heart', the song finished top 15 in my EOY Last year. Imagine Dragons first of two showings comes from 'Warriors' at 136.

In at 135 is the return single from former X Fator judge Tulisa and Jessie Ware wants you to say that you love her at 134. Album track from Britney is in 133rd place, the cute 'Alien', that should've been pushed as a single but then I doubt any track could save her sadly :( Royskopp & Robyn as collaborators make their debut inside my EOY and I mean EVER too. 'Do It Again' stores 132nd whilst Meghan Trainor finishes up this elite group at 131 with the sure to smash in the new year track 'Lips Are Movin'

121 / Troye Sivian - Happy Little Pill / Peak #21 - 7 Weeks

122 / David Guetta Ft Sam Martin - Dangerous / Peak #11 - 6 Weeks

123 / Vance Joy - Riptide / Peak #12 - 6 Weeks

124 / Demi Lovato Ft Cher Lloyd - Really Don't Care / Peak #14 - 6 Weeks

126 / Indiana - Solo Dancing / Peak #17 - 6 Weeks

127 / 5 Seconds of Summer - Amnesia / Peak #22 - 6 Weeks

128 / Professor Green Ft Tori Kelly - Lullaby / Peak #23 - 6 Weeks

129 / Paolo Nutini - Better Man / Peak #25 - 6 Weeks

130 / Lea Michele - Cannonball / Peak #32 - 6 Weeks

First up is Glee (can't believe I'm actually saying this in my EOY :( ) star Lea Michele who released her debut album this year with this surprisingly decent but sad and determined to get through the downfalls of life type songs 'Cannonball'. Hailing from Paisley Scotland next is Paolo Nutini with 'Better Man' a lovely stripped down guitar strummy number at 129 from his fab new album Caustic Love. Pro Green decided to go and record a complete rehash of his biggest hit from a few years back with help this time from American singer Tori Kelly who auditioned for American Idol but failed to make the final 24, anyway 'Lullaby' is in at 128. 5 Seconds of Summer wished they could wake up with 'Amnesia' at 127 and Indiana is 'Solo Dancing' at 126.

Alicia Keys makes another placing in my EOY but fails to go top 100 with this new song which talks about how we should be there for one another and succeed ie a empowerment song, 'We Are Here' is no.125 and Demi Lovato featuring UK's very own Cher Lloyd who is still to come with one of her own songs is 124 with 'I Really Don't Care'. Australian singer Vance Joys debut single 'Riptide' crashes in to 123rd position whilst David Guetta's best song in years is 122.. 'Dangerous'. Finally at 121 is 'Happy Little Pill' from another Australian artist (they are on fire this year) in Troye Sivian. Possibly one of the biggest surprises for me as I wasn't expecting to like nearly as much as I expected.

Lips are Movin is absolutely amazing and we both have it between 131-140 :o (though in my charts it is the complete other end of that section :))

I also really cannonball and say you love me

111 / Take That - These Days / Peak #10 - 6 Weeks

112 / Katy Perry - This Is How We Do / Peak #11 - 10 Weeks

113 / Nicole Scherzinger - Your Love / Peak #11 - 10 Weeks

114 / James Blunt - Postcards / Peak #12 - 10 Weeks

115 / Paolo Nutini - One Day / Peak #15 - 10 Weeks

116 / Calvin Harris - Summer / Peak #20 - 9 Weeks

117 / Aloe Blacc - The Man / Peak #12 - 8 Weeks

118 / G.R.L. - Show Me What You Got / Peak 13 - 8 Weeks

119 / Nico & Vinz - In Your Arms / Peak #27 - 8 Weeks

120 / Ellie Goulding - Goodness Gracious / Peak #16 - 7 Weeks

Ellie Goulding is starting at 120 with 'Goodness Gracious', she has another song still to come.. also the flop follow up to Nico & Vinz's big smash hit makes no.119 in the form of 'In Your Arms'. G.R.L. show us what they've got at 118, Aloe Blacc keeps preaching that he's 'The Man' at 117 and Calvin Harris was blowing up the charts this year with the anthemic 'Summer' which is 116.

Another Paolo Nutini song comes in at 115, 'One Day', his latest single off of Caustic Love. Next up is another appearance from Blunty with 'Postcards'... yes Riser this is the one I was telling you about, he looks and sounds & sings just like my own dad  how embarrasing. That's enough to put you off for life but I guess with 4 tracks in my EOY it clearly wasn't. Call myself a Blunty fan? I guess so  Do Do Do Do Do Do Do, Do Do Do Do Do Do, Do Do Do Do Do Do.. oh yeah it's that song by Nicole Shamazing.. err 'coughs' Scherzinger, well this wasn't amazing let's be honest. Please come back with the old Nicole we know and love please xx

Katy Perry's next appearance is with 'This Is How We Do' at 112 and to be frank I now rank it as one of her worst tracks but once again the video is decent. Finally drunk dad dancing galore now as Take 3... I mean Take That end up at 111 with their first #1 since 2008 in the Official Chart, 'These Days. Showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon 23 years later. 'Applauds'

Lips Are Movin is amazing, unbelievably catchy. Love the sound she's got going so I'd love if she was the next big popstar. Here's to LAM hopefully being a big hit in 2015! :funky:

Say You Love Me is absolutely gorgeous, she has such a beautiful voice and it's perfect for a ballad like that I think. You can see the Sheeran influence on the track but that's no bad thing at all when most of his output is equally gorgeous.

These Days was a huge surprise for me too. I've never been keen on TT at all but I think that's 'cause all music Robbie Williams makes is dire but as a three piece they work excellently. These Days is a fantastic pop song and just now finished listening to their most recent album and it's all good pop music too.

Yes I agree, it's such a fun pop song. Meghan really doesn't feel like a guilty pleasure to me at all. I'm not even ashamed to say that I enjoy both songs still and LAM deserves to be a big hit too. I don't care what the haters say they can take a holiday to L.A. for all I care :)

It is beautiful and I hope she can get some more top 40 hits in the future :D

I did like 'These Days' but am over it now, it's a bit crappy :( I think a lot of people agree with you on the Robbie bit. One of my real life friends is a big TT fan and can't stand Robbie at all. I don't agree  he is a terrible singer though but I love most of his output :P

Thanks Josh!

This is how we do is good but should have never been a single and your love is amazing and so catchy

It will be cool if we end up having a song sharing positions after a couple of close ones :o

109 / Gabrielle Aplin - Salvation / #09 - 6 Weeks

110 / Eminem Ft Rihanna - The Monster / Peak #10 - 6 Weeks

Eminem and Rihanna did pretty well 4 years back managing to go top 5 in my EOY of 2010 but sadly do not replica that 2nd time round as 'The Monster' fails to make my top 100 this year and last year, sitting at 110, Gabrielle Aplin's delicately sweet song 'Salvation' is at 109. The first of two songs from The Script comes from U2 sounding 'No Good in Goodbye' at 108. One of Jonjo's BJSC entries comes next from Chassio with 'Hurricane in 107th place and Joseph's faves are back again as One Direction score their highest placing song in my countdown this year with the really nice 'Night Changes'. Rudimentals 6th single from the debut album Home featured vocals from Becky Hill on 'Powerless' at 105 (she's still to appear on another song in the rundown... any guesses what that might be  ). Ultraviolence will be jumping joy at the next entry it's Rude by MAGIC! :puke2: this is one song I still don't really get the massive hype over, his voice irritates me, the lyrics are very corny but it was actually the reggae instrumentation that made this grow on me for a month :( Macklemore dominated my countdown with 3 songs in the top 10 last year but massively fails to keep the momentum going for a 2nd year. To be fair it was the 4th single and was released in January :P

James Arthur certainly needs a 'Recovery' from the state of his music career currently, the song lands up in 102nd place meaning the unlucky ones at 101 are Chasing Grace with their follow up to 'Free' which is still to come... 'Run'.

WHITE WALLS!!

:cheer:

:cheer:

You know it's one of my faves, was a 2013 track for me though so won't make my countdown. I still hear it on the radio a lot though which makes me so happy

I just re-listened to 'Recovery' for the first time all year, and it still gives me all the feels  I'm not ashamed to say that
