December 23, 201410 yr Bo$$ is a great track but a bit old for me now, I used to love real love but I am bored of it, amnesia and don't are solid songs and the vocals on sunlight are lush  Good section Math
December 23, 201410 yr Author comment reply time I guess ~ way we are is a great dance track, melissa has a lovely voice so im glad she's gifted it to a couple of dance tracks ! thinking out loud is lovely, still not tiring of it all. glad he's been so big this year, his album is phenomenal. olchlt is stunning too, really what she should be making. she has an amazing voice too, excited for the next era now thanks jsanta/jsilv/josh! ^_^ I agree, about (almost) all you have to say, if paloma's next album was filled with olchlt 2.0's then I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat! Yay that we've started here  So so excited for this Math  That BJSC Ultraviolenceand Impact :cheer: That 16th place finish :( I adore Marilyn so much, definitely a great pop track  Our time is really good but should have never been a single, I used to like thinking out loud but now I think I never want to hear that song ever again, koala is terrible and of course only love can hurt like this is beautiful, stunning and definitely one of my favourites this year  Great start Math  Thanks Ultra, as always as your opinions are almost the same to mine (you need to learn to like koala asap though), so I don't have too many things to say :kink: #191 ~ Paloma Faith - Only Love Can Hurt Like This US Peak: N/A | Plays: 17 | UK Peak: #6 #192 ~ Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud US Peak: #6 | Plays: 16 | UK Peak: #1 #193 ~ Oliver Heldens - Koala US Peak: N/A | Plays: 22 | UK Peak: #5 This is very powerful but I prefer his first single. #194 ~ Fox Stevenson - Sweets US Peak: N/A | Plays: 14 | UK Peak: N/A #195 ~ Demi Lovato - Really Don't Care (feat. Cher Lloyd) US Peak: #26 | Plays: 18 | UK Peak: #92 #196 ~ Lily Allen - Our Time US Peak: N/A | Plays: 22 | UK Peak: #43 Very nice song. It should be a Top 40 hit. #197 ~ TĀLĀ - Alchemy US Peak: N/A | Plays: 20 | UK Peak: N/A I just listened to it because you have it on your list. It's a unique song. I guess that it wasn't popular in U.k and U.S. Maybe it will grow on me. I like this kind of music. #198 ~ Kove - Way We Are (feat. Melissa Steel) US Peak: N/A | Plays: 21 | UK Peak: #30 #199 ~ Alexa Goddard - Marilyn US Peak: N/A | Plays: 15 | UK Peak: N/A I prefer Pharell's Marilyn Monroe.. :) #200 ~ Melanie Martinez - Carousel US Peak: N/A | Plays: 16 | UK Peak: N/A I like/love the bold ones. Thank you for the comment, it really warmed my heart when I saw somebody listened to a song based on my countdown! A nice start here, Koala is absolutely lush  Hopefully Gecko is far far higher! Sweets is quite good but much prefer Tico myself. Let's pretend Thinking Out Loud isn't here though :kink: Gecko will be about 100 places higher so if you count that as far higher then yay! I'm still yet to hear 'Tico' more than one though, I know it was a moderate smash for Yehesi but I still prefer 'Sweets'. TOL is getting pretty old for me too, I put it in because I did have a fleeting love for it. Thanks Thermo! omg YAY YAY YAY at 'Way We Are' being included here! Melissa's Steel is on FIRE with her features, particularly that and 'I Loved You'! Melissa really is on fire, she's really impressed me this year. Thanks (Sl/J)ade!

December 26, 201410 yr Great so far, Math, Sea of Voices is particularly lush, really shivers-inducing build up and atmosphere, it took me by surprise after Language & Easy which were really different. Artifice, Shut Up & Dance & Tigerhead were all really good BJSC discoveries and Can't Rely On You should've been a much bigger hit, I think I prefer it to Only Love... now, though it helps that this hasn't been really overplayed! Bulletproof as well :o Great song though, one of my favourites of 2009 and still love it now, don't hear it anywhere near as much anymore :( Edited December 26, 201410 yr by FrostytheWallaby
December 27, 201410 yr Mixed sections for me Math :) Some classics and some songs I want to disappear of the face of the earth Good  #180 ~ La Roux - Bulletproof Definitely one of the best songs of 2009, I adore this #177 ~ Selena Gomez - The Heart Wants It Wants #175 ~ Paloma Faith - Can't Rely On You #174 ~ Pitbull - Timber (feat. Ke$ha) Kesha slays on this  #162 ~ Ed Sheeran - I See Fire (Kygo Remix) Not heard the remix but the original is really nice. Have you seen The Hobbit films? #158 ~ Avicii - The Days (feat. Robbie Williams) So gutted this wasn't released as a single, his best song since levels The Bad :puke2: #160 ~ will.i.am - It's My Birthday (feat. Cody Wise) This is awful. Will.I.Am is terrible on this and Cody Wise is 1000x worse #159 ~ DVBBS - Tsunami (Jump) [feat. Tinie Tempah] #157 ~ Rixton - Wait On Me US Peak: N/A | Plays: 16 | UK Peak: TBA Hate this as well, just to let you know it peaked at 12 I believe in the UK :) #178 ~ John Legend - Screech Of Me SERIOUSLY. Gosh I hate this song so so so so much [as you surely know]. Eugh I hate this hate hate hate hate this hate this horrible tortuous hateful song :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:
December 27, 201410 yr Wait On Me is fantastic, wish it was bigger. Should've at least been a top 10 hit. I think it's miles better thaan it's predecessor but I guess the general public disagree. Not On Drugs is good too, a huge chorus and should've got a proper push really. An ideal pop song really, it's very catchy too.
December 30, 201410 yr Author dear lord I fell far behind, christmas a tad crazy. big update coming today.
December 30, 201410 yr Author http://a3.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music/v4/ec/74/d2/ec74d260-6bb4-eadf-69ae-bb9ba07fc1d2/cover100x100.jpeg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 26 | UK Peak: N/A ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yeah we don't wanna do anything to scare your children That's the last thing we wanna do I was very excited for Iggy's album ever since 'Work' released and it did not let me down (of course now she has released 'Reclassified' and her career has gone to heck so I'm unsure whether I'm a fan anymore), and this rambunctious album opener did not let me down. Fantastic track with an extremely weird intro and a great hook. http://a5.mzstatic.com/eu/r30/Music4/v4/eb/af/0c/ebaf0c20-4dc0-3b73-1295-07d6ef678c23/cover100x100.jpeg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 26 | UK Peak: N/A ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If there's a moment when it's perfect We'll carve our names As the sun goes down After two great predecessors (I'm pretty sure you all know which ones I'm talking about) I had high hopes for Robin Schulz's debut solo single, and while it wasn't quite up to par of his previous remixes it has a great vibe and it is very enjoyable to listen to. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 16 | UK Peak: N/A ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't need no ghosts from my past trying to play me When Kathaldazia said they found a gem for the Buzzjack Song Contest I was excited but I was not prepared to be this SLAYED (in true kath form (where did she go again?)). Future house at its poppiest and catchiest. Incredibly infectious song with some excellent vocals to back it up. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 16 | UK Peak: #37 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Away you might just say she stays to go nowhere Midnight scenes from an old romantic movie Usually you'd be there today I say was different I can take you with me wandering, if you wanna go there I usually love dance and I love dance-rap crossovers (even if most of them are awful and they are only guilty pleasures), so this track grew on me instantly. Amazingly catchy, fun to listen to and to sing along and very good display of talent and Vic sung and co-produced this track. http://a1.mzstatic.com/eu/r30/Music/v4/27/73/95/27739509-dda6-143c-73eb-1cb4f2fdd0e2/cover100x100.jpeg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: N/A | Plays: 33 | UK Peak: #47 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And when the clock strikes one, this mess will be undone And when the clock strikes two, don't think that kiss will do Kicking off the Top 150 we have Jakwob's infectious tune, 'Somebody New'. The track hit me immediately with that incredible drop and the vocals are spot-on and fit the track great. For extra credit (:kink:) I'd also recommend the Jakwob VIP version, it turns the track from a subdued house track to a catchy D'n'B BANGA. Edited December 30, 201410 yr by M¤th
December 31, 201410 yr down on my luck is very catchy and the video had an excellent concept too, really re-watchable. shame it didn't do as well as expected in the charts, was really anticipating it to be very big..

It is an absolute jam and the remix could've been huge if they had pushed it instead of making the remix album only when it started to gain success as a cherrypick on a compilation album. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US Peak: #87 | Plays: 19 | UK Peak: #18 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Won't you follow me into the jungle (yeah) Ain't no god on my streets in the heart of the jungle (oh, Lord child) This track immediately hit me as it was so anthemic. This track came at a period in time where I had no real interest in BJSC or finding music in general (ever since then I've been dedicated) but it has stuck with me for a good while it's a really good remix of a good track, sensual, relaxing, and soothing. January 1, 201510 yr Alive is a fantastic track, the vocals on it are excellent. I hope Chase & Status come back with a bang because they're a great dance group, should be much bigger. I think my favourite song this era was Lost & Not Found. Chimes is good too, didn't get it at first but it's sort of addictive. Always makes me go back to hear the dog noise
