Good to see Oliver Heldens so high! The vocals aren't quite as good as Gecko, but the beat is very distinctive.

Also great to see 6 Words hold up this well

Yeah I don't particularly like the vocals on Last All Night. Sometimes a vocal addition improves an instrumental, this was definitely the case with Gecko but I far prefer the instrumental Koala to this charting version.

Don't like this Drown song at all. Where has it come from I hadn't seen it hyped up on here at all. Would be good to see Bo$$ perform well but I really wish it was Sledgehammer in its position.

BMTH have overtaken Oliver Heldens to #2 :o
Such a travesty that Girls Aloud's "Stay Another Day" is not at the top right now. :kink:
Music Guests and TV Shows added to the first post for this week, Royal Variety Performance and the BBC1 Awards Show on Thursday both feature Ed Sheeran, I don't know who else will be featuring on there but expect Collabro to be there. One Direction, Paloma Faith, Clean Bandit/Jess Glynne, Coldplay and Calvin Harris plus others on BBC1 Awards Show on Thursday.
Saturday: Jonathan Ross: Paloma Faith

That's interesting, wonder what she'll be singing, hopefully she'll start pushing 'Leave While I'm Not Looking', weird RFTGL never got a video.

Sam Smith has a Christmas song out, wonder if it will chart

No doubt it will :drama:

BMTH have overtaken Oliver Heldens to #2 :o

#3 for Olly then

It's clear that even if Fleur East doesn't win the x factor she will be the one to have the most success in the long term. I really hope that she does win it, she has been getting better and better each week and there is no one on x factor that is multi-talented like her.

It looks like Oliver Heldens is heading for #1 on iTunes at least, did Gecko (Overdrive) get there on iTunes? I just seem to remember it getting to #2.

 4. Fleur East - Uptown Funk (X Factor Performance)

This is the highest that any x factor performance has gotten! and it would be #2 right now if it wasn't for the new releases :o

And #1 if it wasn't for one of the blandest songs of the year

Omg this is incredible! I went to see Bring Me just two days ago and now they're top two on iTunes and climbing! I'm so happy <3333

oh wow, i hope it gets a bit of a boost from being #1 now, it's absolutely fantastic.

would be excellent if it could manage top 10 officially.

Well Drown is actually quite good which may be why it's doing better than most rock songs of the past few years. WD guys. And yes, certainly a more surprising #1 than Union J as surprising as that was.

Radio 1 have been pushing Bring Me The Horizon for a LONG TIME, I think a properly big hit was only just around the corner, I don't expect it'll remain top 10 by the end of the week though, this is a little bit like You Me At Six last year when they topped the iTunes chart. Still, though, always wonderful to see a proper guitar based band at the top the chart!

CHVRCHES top 20 :D Sadly, I fear streaming will keep this out of the top 40 a bit like Henry Krinkle. I'm sure had streaming been added last year, then The Mother We Share would've never got top 40 either :(
