I think people forget how huge her fan base is. I mean everyone was quick to label her a flop, even in the USA, just because of her last albums performance. 'Work Bitch' was destined to underperform with no proper promo to bring it to the GP's attention. Were we really expecting a song with such an explicit title to smash pop radio? Let's remember the lead single from FF debuted at #1 and gave her the most top ten hits from a single album in the USA.

 

I agree she's out of touch with the UK's audience. But, she still managed to get a top ten peak with 'Work Bitch'. She's constantly underrated with her marketing power... ESPECIALLY in the USA.

With new iTunes rules, it's actually a lot better not to pre order and wait until the day of release, that way you're helping it rise on iTunes and increasing visibility. I'm pretty Cheryl's 'Only Human' wouldn't have missed the top 100 if the pre order rule had not changed.

But the pre-order sales STILL count towards her release week. So it doesn't matter when you've pre-ordered, your sales will still be on that week. iTunes have just decided to track them "of the time" instead now. I can see this falling to about #400 before climbing and holding steady in the 200-region up until release week! Should be safe for a SMASH then.

 

She needs to get this on Streaming for the UK asap though. It'll help her as artists have stronger 2nd/3rd week streams than they do first week! I can see this doing SO well on streaming too tbh. When is this released again? 22nd June? If so, I'll be so happy if it got number 1 as it'd be the first time Britney has been number 1 on my birthday *.* (3rd July!).

 

Ecstatic at it's pre-order performance for the UK so far! I was really worried for it's performance for some reason, but it is a legit smash. Also my LITTLE MIX girlies have done me SO PROUD :cry: The song is SO Little Mix too, especially for Iggy's rap-verse! The harmonies are very them/M.O.!

ALSO, and this is only directed towards fellow stans and not casual listeners. I respect everybody's opinion... unless you go on about trashing the song/ artist for 3 pages in that artists FAN forum (we understood the first time). AND this is me venting about breathe heavy... everyone says "oh I was expecting more from Britney". I remember people saying that since her second album. Give it two or three listens and you will be hooked. Britney fans are the WORST at not appreciating an album/era/single until she releases a new album or single. The SAME EXACT THING was said about 'Work B!tch'. Maybe it's because she changes things up with every album? That's why she's an icon. She not only changes her sound to fit the current pop scene... She's been molding it since 1998.

 

Regardless even a fellow Stan has the right to dislike a singe by her. BUT HOLY SHIT. Don't pretend 'BRITNEY JEAN' is the second coming of Jesus Christ just because she releases something new! It's just so counter productive to call yourself a fan and just hate on everything she releases, but go back and praise it once she's released a new song.

 

But, hey. Some people are just a waste of semen, tbh. Bless 'em.
