Will Ben get a 2nd week. Currently on itunes Mark Ronson has 100% & Ben 60% and both are pretty stable now. Will the physical be enough to keep him at number 1 with all the shoppers and stocking fillers. The physical is number 12 on amazon and is also for sale online at Tesco and in the various supermarkets in store. Plus Ben will have media coverage from being the xmas number 1 and the TOTP performance on Christmas Day

No.

Uptown Funk will smash all competition with its ultra funkiness :funky: :funky: :funky:

NO

Uptown Funk sales of 181.5k, Ben's track will at least decrease 65% for its second week, Mark Ronson should easily keep the momentum going since the track has got a big lead over Ben.

Definitely not and it should never have been no1 in the first place - pile of rubbish.
Uptown funk will be #1 but I think Ben will still have pretty good sales. It's picked up a bit on iTunes since yesterday evening and people will still be buying the CD up until Christmas eve. I'm happy as long as he got "the big one" :)
I think Ben will go 1-2-out of top ten-2 more weeks in top 40.

What about Mark Ronson's streams...

Its amazing to see a lot of people voted for Ben to win, but it doesn't reflect that in sales.

How many votes did Ben get?

How many of them would have been multiple votes by the same people?

That's true of every winner but hard to say that for sure. 10 million votes of which he got at 60% in the final so 6 million tops in votes. Most were probably 5 free app votes (people voting on more than one device was quite common) so taking it down to say 1.2 million max and I'm sure by what I witnessed there was multi voting (paid)for all the artists as well. If he goes onto sell say 500k that will be 1 in 2 who "voted" so that would be pretty high. Sketchy maths but you get the idea :)

EDIT: Actually thinking about it, it was at least 10 free app votes as they gave another 5 after Andrea was eliminated on Saturday night, so he could have as little as 600k people voting. If so 214K is great.

Uptown Funk will be No1 next week. Bens physicals were only 47k last week so they will sell a bit up to Tues but much less after that.

Clearly the biggest hit of the moment is Mark Ronsons just with the XF release/pre orders in the chart help new releases alot. Same with Ed when Cheryl got a solitary week at No1. TOL was clearly the biggest hit of that November period but Band Aid & Cheryl came in for a week here and there with massive sales for 1 week of BA and Cheryl just scarped a No1, disrupting Eds steady sales for his track.

I think the people who vote on X Factor aren't typically the people who music music regularly. and Vice Versa. Hence why Fleur's performance went #1 on iTunes and none of Ben's did.

I think Ben will go 1-2-out of top ten-2 more weeks in top 40.

Sam Bailey like? :kink:

Even this week the gap wasn't that big,so I think Mark Ronson will be #1 next week.
Mark Ronson would be #1 easily anyway, but he'll be there especially easily with the upcoming sales boost from gift cards.
This isn't even a valid question. If there was a poll attached to this thread, not only single person would have voted that Ben will be #1.
