Real Love is growing on me so much now after playing it out loud earlier today. Great song but still nowhere near Rather Be of course.

I have to agree with you there, Rather Be is just a classic, but I do adore Real Love could have been #1 in the official chart if Band Aid 30 didn't come along, I still think the Band Aid 30 track was a bit of a pointless exercise, the way it performed. Oh well... it wasn't might to be.

Lots of great albums in that countdown. X being my favourite, a very strong pop album showing the variety of tunes Ed can deliver. Really hoping Afire Love, Runaway and Bloodstream are all singles down the line because I'm sure he could milk this era. Would love it to hit 2 million copies sold too.

Ultraviolence is lovely too, was never keen on LDR during her first era but she really sold me with this album. It's moody but in a good way and full of good hooks despite being slow. Old Money will always be my fave.

That SALM song is still one of my favourites from my first contest, gives me memories of the start of BJSC. I still like it actually but don't play it much, must get back into it. One of my most consistent countries anyway, love a bit of Kylienips! ( ;) )

Love the album chart, will comment on singles in a minute

01 Paloma Faith – A Perfect Contradiction Definitely one of the best albums is year and Paloma's best so far

02 FKA Twigs – LP1

03 BANKS – Goddess

04 George Ezra – Wanted On Voyage I am starting to love Budapest again

06 Ed Sheeran – X

07 Kylie Minogue – Kiss Me Once

08 Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence Such a stunning album, so so beautiful

09 Katy B – Little Red

10 The Foo Fighters – Sonic Highways

Let go for tonight is amazing, I am in love with Foxes at the moment

Uptown funk is a great song and I am glad it is a massive hit but I can see myself getting bored of it :(

Boom clap and into the blue are both great also

I used to really like thinking out loud and real love but I am so bored of them both now :(

Yeah it's a very watered down version. I only like Rita, Paloma and maybe the guy from Elbow's parts in the track.

FKA Twigs slaying the albums  in fact they're all great albums there, except Coldplay and Foo Fighters (I'm just not interested in the acts) plus I'm still really not a fan of Ultraviolence, it completely pales in comparison to Born To Die.

I've been too busy to take part in the annual BJSC games this month, its the time of the year where I don't have time to apply to these competitions, I found a great track when the actual competition start, hopefully it will catch on, plus they are a Indie band this time round, something different to kick start the new year. Glad you like the SALM track probably one of my faves of the year along with Dominique, the latter failed to get in my YTD chart though.

Thanks for your input.

Thank you very much, hopefully I have the full chart tomorrow, when I get a quiet period.

Some good stuff in here so far, this would be my top 5:

12 Sigma feat. Paloma Faith – Changing

26 CHVRCHES – We Sink

28 FKA Twigs – Pendulum

29 Robyn & Röyksopp – Do It Again

38 XXANAXX – Disappear - think it was you that sent this to UP, wasn't it? One of my favourite from it this year! :D

Sing is very good, take ages to grow on me but I love it now. He's really good using falsetto actually, very catchy too. Something Pharrell actually did well this year.

Chandelier is stunning too, amazing how she actually hits those notes but the chorus is huge. Really hoping it's a bit of a future classic now actually.

Yep it was me, and I used the Tokyo Police Club track from the Haven competition in BJSC, that was a pure gem :D

10 George Ezra - Budapest

Peaked: 6

This is one act I never thought I would like Budapest really grew on me after a few false starts, just that catchy chorus which you neither hate or love, a bit like marmite, the album is just fantastic, and I see why the British public love him with those catchy numbers on the album, the album has gone on from strength to strength and its great listen, Listen To The Man is such a great track, probably my favourite track on the album.

9 Kiesza - Hideaway

Peaked: 1 (5wks)

Club banging tune, and a fantastic tune to boot, with a catchy chorus, one of the stand tunes of the summer without a doubt. There is nothing much to add, overall Kiesza is a fresh new artist to hit this side of the Atlantic with her debut hit Hideaway, which hits the right notes in the right places, and a really good tune to dance to.

8 Lykke Li - Gunshot

Peaked: 1 (3wks)

This track was used on a TV commercial and after awhile I was hooked on the track, and I simply had to chart this in my personal chart, it grew and grew on me on every listen and surprisingly took the top spot in my personal chart for 3 weeks. With its dark, moody lyrics, the track transcends into a infectious tune, the track is just simple and it works so well as it goes along.
