Another very lethargic week for new releases, only All Time Low making any real impact. Will be interesting to see if the new Young Fathers album outpeaks the debut since people actually know who they are this time. I see Alesso has finally announced his album now - just as 'Heroes (we could be)' has probably had its last week top 40 <_< Could have saved me the weeks of 'TBA debut album' in the chart thread!!1!

hopefully it gets them another top 5 album (another #1 is probably unlikely considering the lack of singles success this era, I know that didn't stop The Prodigy but Nero's fanbase isn't as big)

Oh I completely forgot that Nero were back again ooops (I am not a good fan x)

 

Their #1s with their album and 'Promises' were both massive flukes to begin with on pretty terrible sales so definitely not expecting them to come close to that this era.

Wow at Tyler, The Creator being as high as #12 on pre-orders :o Due for release in just a few days, not sure if this strategy will be good or bad for him in terms of the likelihood of it beating his previous album's peak (#17).

 

Great to see The Prodigy's album still in the top 10 and Mumford & Sons' pre-order picking up again with the release of the new track. Nero now inside the top 100 too.

Tyler, The Creator highest new entry on iTunes at least *.* I expect The Wombats / Paul Simon at least will be higher overall though. Don't see any of the new releases getting #1 or if they do it'll be on very low sales, it'll be James Bay back at #1 methinks.

Josh Groban #1 album next week bit of a dull week in the album chart, week after should start getting better, Blur release their new album.
God its goin to be terrible on the albums front at least until week beginning 4/5
Can't see it Martin, Alabama Shakes are probably favourites at this stage but I wouldn't rule out a second week for Paul Simon

Not sure how well Alabama Shakes did but Josh Groban was #6 on Amazon's top sellers on pre-orders alone last week. I did think he was the best shot at #1 but Alabama Shakes does seem to be doing well at the moment, plus they've been getting Radio 1 support. I suppose sales are going to be low and close this week again so anything could take the top spot.

Blur had a bit of promo on Graham Norton show last Friday, they should comfortably take the #1 album on Sunday, I can't see any more new albums troubling the top 10.

Yeh saw them, they were quite good and the single nearly pushed top 40on itunes. Still think they wont sell much more than 40-45k.
