Dangerous Love is one of the standout tracks of the year for me :wub: Loved it from first listen and is a perfect summer song!

 

Million Pound Girl is also amazing. Reminds me a lot of Gimme The Light by Sean Paul as its heavily influenced by Jamaican and hip hop.

 

Stay With Me has a great remix from Shy FX, but I cant stand the original :puke2:

 

Am I Wrong reminds me of summers in 2003 and 2004, where tracks by Afro-Jamaican artists were everywhere! Love this song and am glad it was as big as it was.

 

The beat in the Krishane song reminds me slightly of Turn Me On by Kevin Lyttle :wub: Catchy as it is, I think he's capable of even better.

 

I Know is such a lush song. Not quite as good as Touch but a very relaxing listen and works well at parties. I bet this was released 12 months earlier it would have cracked the top 10 :( An over-saturation of house in the mainstream is perhaps to blame.

 

Come Over is so catchy!! I wish Stylo G was bigger as he makes great music. Perfect summer music and my favourite Clean Bandit song by far.

 

Let It Be is okay, but I miss the old Labrinth :( His fizzing electronic production was almost always amazing and songs like Earthquake and Pass Out are classics :heart:

Thanks ML, glad to hear you like a good selection of my EOY Top 40 :) Fuse has definitely been one of my artists of the year, it's throwaway pop but it's catchy as hell and yes it does have Sean Paul vibes from 10 years ago! Hopefully Krishane will be even better this year. Agreed about Labrinth, his old stuff was far better, the production particularly. Good to hear that 'Come Over' is your favourite CB song, I think it's pretty under-rated and over-shadowed by their bigger hits.

3 - I'm pretty confident 'Hideaway' will be remembered as a dance classic in years to come :)

14 - yeah it has pretty much been forgotten about hasn't it? Bit of a shame really :(

15 - Agreed it's the best Lorde single and it does indeed sound natural and effortless!

18 - Agreed again, shame Calvin threw a spanner in the works for the rest of the album, I bet there were some great songs on it.

20 - Yeah I thought I'd be bored of it by now but I'm actually not, and 'Like I Can' is also still growing on me!

40 - I don't really know what happened with Kiesza, 'Giant In My Heart' actually did OK but the third single and album should have done so much better. Let's hope she can salvage her career, she's too talented to be over already.

1 - Glad to hear it! This song literally makes me want to swing from a chandelier in celebration :P

2 - Yeah I'm hoping another era from him would be supported, even if he doesn't get any more hits from this era (new single looks like it's currently flopping).

3 - And hopefully never will!

15 - I've heard YFB but it's decidedly average for me. 'Team' is my favourite from her :wub:

16 - Not long to go now!

27 - Definitely under-rated, Stylo G makes this song!

31 - Actually I've got MAGIC!'s album ;) they definitely don't deserve to remain one-hit wonders as the album has some great songs on it ('Don't Kill The Magic' is crying out to be a hit!)

36 - Not really, I just genuinely loved the other two more than Budapest :)

38 - I know what you mean, 'Don't' is a great single though, I think in many ways I prefer it to 'Sing'!
