Oh, after no news for absolutely ages, suddenly this is just around the corner (unless it gets delayed again). Hype.

It says how old I'm getting that I didn't think that long had passed since Invaders Must Die, when in fact it's now been longer since then than the gap from Always Outnumbered Never Outgunned to IMD

I'm not sure if they'll be able to replicate the two top 10 hits they scored in 2009, that was an age when legacy acts could still chart high on physical sales with the likes of Madonna/Kylie/the Pet Shop Boys all still doing well back then. I just hope that they don't 'do a Tiesto' and release an album of generic chart-friendly crap. IMD was a great return to form even if it clearly lifted a lot of elements from the then-huge Pendulum.

I don't think they will. Recently I read about one of them criticizing the current dance music.

Yeah, they've been very adamant that this album is NOT anything like that.

The Prodigy could still get a chart hit if they wanted to, they're not like those acts which have become too uncool for R1. I'm sure whatever they release will get R1 playlist support although it probably won't be big in the charts as they won't be releasing commercial/chart friendly music. Especially if they release their single OA/OS which I wouldn't be surprised at if they don't care about chart success.

I think they're big enough to manage a pretty decent chart position from an OA/OS release (unless they release on a Friday or something). Although of course it's hard to predict when they've not released anything for over half a decade, apart from a live album.

They should get R1 support as you say though, even if the song is extremely uncommercial, so hopefully they won't do NOTHING chart-wise, although they almost certainly won't match the success of 'Omen'/'Warrior's Dance'.

Oh still no concrete news on the single. But YAY for album news. Much better album title than 'How To Steal A Jetfighter' as well.
I also much prefer this album title. Really interested to hear their sound on this, the Flux collab should be amazing!

Oh it says more news coming on 12th January - that'll be information on the single then I guess?

Edited the title a bit now we have confirmation of the album title and date :)

Could you edit in the artwork somewhere as well :magic: (Assuming the pic on that site is the album cover).

i would hazard a guess and say it premieres january 12

Interesting to see Sleaford Mods on there and I wonder if Invisible Sun is a cover of The Police? Not sure how on earth that could possibly sound.
Omen would have done well in 2009 with or without physical release and the fact it was the Prodigy it was a genuine massive hit!
