'Noble England' :heart: Not the most memorable top 10 hit of the year and not really surprising it didn't get that much love but a very appropriate tribute, was great to see it so high in the chart that week.

When I first heard it, I wasn't impressed at all but it grew on me. The hook is a real earworm and its great a minimalist-R&B track can chart so highly!

 

Has a lot in common with Climax, which is also very good.

Better get a move on with this as Bré and Joseph shown me up this year with their speed. Sitting by the side with collaborator Calvin Harris is Ellie Goulding with her 2013 hold-over "How Long Will I Love You", it finished 130th last year with -138 points giving it a total of -197 points. In my view this is a brilliant way to do a charity single with a genuinely good song (which I prefer to the dull "Burn"), and get that money all into next year. Sorry 'bout it, Gareth Malone. Ellie fans don't fret as she has two entries left.

Surprised to see Oh Cecilia in the top 100! Not moaning though. Expected Somebody To You though, obviously it didn't spend long in the top 10 at all but it was a top 5 multichart hit (compared to the others not getting close to the top 10).

Just sneaking into the top 100 is The Wealdstone Raider AKA Gordon Hill with his viral song which got entwined into the Christmas #1 race and was a charity single. It's my least favourite T10 hit of the year, I get it it's for a good cause but the humour isn't my cup of tea and we're just left with awfulness.

Another 2013 leftover getting a week on this countdown, she finished slightly better last year with a position of 86th and a score of -33 bring her collectively to - 86, in commercial terms, Sam Bailey's winner singles has been overshadowed by both her predeccesor and successor in terms of sales but she (at the moment) still does better than both of them on Reshuffle. As I said last year it's a passable cover of an OK song.

I like Ellie's song "a little" though (probably my OCD at not hating nearly every single song :drama:) but I do agree that the All Of Me style (including overcharting :drama:) is a bore and there are better tunes that deserved a better chart run :)

 

Got No Fans! :lol: of course not everyone likes that genre of music but who has the heart to dislike the idea? It's actually quite funny (Also check out the original video. Owned :lol:)

 

I'm not keen on Sam's cover of Skyscraper. Demi does it MUCH better and her vocals really go well with it :wub:

 

And AFY is in my top 40/50 and even though the lyrics are fairly repetitive and the dance bit isn't that special it still is a great song. Though I prefer the Tiesto/Alesso/whoever remix of it since it has more of a dance tune to it :P

 

Wrapped Up? Nah. Sounds too much like a copy of Treasure back in 2012 which was much better anyway :rolleyes:
