96. EMINEM FT. RIHANNA - THE MONSTER (-50 POINTS)

WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 3 in 2014
OCC PEAK: 6 (1wk) in 2014
RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 7
AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 5
AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 9
POSITIVE VOTES: 33
NEGATIVE VOTES: 45

This is one of my least favourite #1s of recent years, the fact is I never got the love with it, I expect more being an Eminem fan than this lazy ass song, and I really tried to like it as all of my friends did, but I just couldn't find anything I liked about it.

I quite like The Monster but seeing it get #1 and LTWYL not get it just didn't seem right :nocheer:

95. DVBBS & BORGEOUS FT. TINIE TEMPAH - TSUNAMI (JUMP) (-50 POINTS)

Now this song I didn't like at first, thinking it to be a lesser version of "Animals", however now time has passed I appreciate for the tune it is when I'm on a night out. Oh and Tinie Tempah parts are more necessary than that on "Crazy Stupid Love" but not by much. T(J) finishes higher than TM as it recieved eight "+4"s compared to TM's five.
Great work from DVBBS and Borgeous but unfortunately Tinie (who is actually one of my favourite rappers) flopped here with the vocals, both lyrics and vocals itself. I reckon if he worked on the lyrics/vocals a bit more perhaps it wouldn't have so much hate?

Probably again being the opposite of Buzzjack here but I really enjoyed this song as well, it reminds me of an early U2 song, which for me is a good thing. It also made a nice change to have a more old-fashioned soft rock song in the top 10. Also, it helped that overplay didn't effect it as much as the still-to-come "Counting Stars" as is "If I Lose Myself".
Anywhere For You is utterly glorious. Beats the living daylights out of Don't You Worry Child as well.

At #93 it's Strictly star Pixie Lott, who apparently released some music during 2014, although not as good as her dancing though. In truth "Nasty" is not a bad song it just sounds a bit dated and more like a Mis-Teeq single circa 2003. For a better song called "Nasty", see the Janet Jackson song.

My second favourite of the songs which made the #10 spot this year. It's Fuse ODG's time to bow out and Angel's time to sneak in with that #9 peak relevancy. The song is just catchy and fun and my second favourite behind "Azonto" (don't judge me)

Or... The Prodigy? :kink:

Yeah sure that's much better too, still the Janet Jackson song is much more my personal taste.

Nasty is good but not that good  and possibly unpopular opinion but I think Lay Me Down should've had the top 10

T.I.N.A. is another good song from Fuse :)

btw Leo you put an extra F in your embed code  :)

Oh dear, I forgot how Eminem gave Sia a #10. I prefer this song to "The Monster" and the rap sections are better but again both artists have more potential than is being displayed in this song.

This song might benefit from being on a low voter week. From what I remember Fox was being hailed as the much-needed UK version of Justin Bieber. Which I thought was supposed to be Conor Maynard, who at least has some good songs. Anyway this songs sounds like a bad b-side.
I quite like DIAOA and much better than the much hated ABG but I have to strongly disagree that Conor is considered 'the next Bieber' :drama: IIRC he said himself he doesn't want to go down the same round Bieber did :)

I'm not saying he was but that's what he was being touted as, otherwise he wouldn't have to negate it.

Up next another teen pop thing with the third Vamps single to fall, this being a reinterpretation of the Simon & Garfunkel song "Cecilia" mainly staying true to the melody and the chorus. The song's OK, nothing to rave about, they still have "Somebody To You" left.

Nicole Scherzinger coming along with a new sound in 2014, now I really enjoyed her "Killer Love" album and thought that she had great potential for pop stardom, her latest string of singles have been a letdown however and this song does nothing at all for her. Whatsoever.

At #87, my favourite boy band single of the year. I unabashedly love this song. I know it's got tinges of "Hey There Delilah" about it in the beginning, but I'm cool with that.

I love Little Mix, and again I realise this was for charity, but did they need to touch this Kameo classic. Luckily, they still have "Salute" to save face for them, but will it?
