January 3, 201510 yr Author 3 guesses who will be no1...a certain rolling in the deep woman. Ordinarily I'd say no spoilers but I think anyone following the charts in the slightest will know what No1 is, it's about the surprises on the way :D
January 3, 201510 yr I adore gold:greatest hits. Such a great album full of abba classics  Give More Abba Gold a listen too then. Lesser hits and some album tracks but still a great listen.
January 3, 201510 yr Totally agree Common Sense. more Abba gold has some gems. Under Attack being my favourite. I'm still shocked that Abba Gold has sold almost 500,000 this decade with albums sales plummeting. Wonder if it will get another boost before the end of the decade and sell a million this decade?
January 3, 201510 yr Gutting for I Am... Sasha Fierce dropping out, and it looks like Beyoncé won't be replacing it either :( Nothing surprising so far except for the continued appearance of Glee! Surely its last year?!
January 3, 201510 yr I never realised The Wanted's debut ever got those huge sales :o it's a very strong album and one of my favourite boyband ones so i am very happy to see it clinging onto the top 100. Outselling 'FOUR' too, i think it's clear from that which is the bigger boyband~

MOONLIGHT SERENADE- Andre Rieu (30-42-55-74-90) 505,500 89. MESSY LITTLE RAINDROPS- Cheryl Cole (21-38-52-89) 508,900 88. LES MISERABLES- Original Cast Recording (82-88) 510,200 87. RATED R- Rihanna (28-46-57-71-87) 510,900 (T/S 739,400) 86. THE E.N.D- Black Eyed Peas (23-40-53-68-86) 511,900 (T/S 1,602,100) There are 65 fallers on the survey but none fall as quickly as Cheryl Cole who slips a whopping 37 places this year presumably not many are investing in her back catalogue. Rihanna also has the first of four albums here but “Rated R” is struggling to pass the three quarter of a million mark. Featured track: dmHcDWrMH-8

IF YOU WAIT- London Grammar (NEW) 513,800 84. ECHOES- Will Young (56-54-67-84) 517,000 83. THE XX- XX (37-59-70-72-83) 517,900 (T/S 560,800) 82. A PERFECT CONTRADICTION- Paloma Faith (NEW) 520,100 81. RED- Taylor Swift (80-81) 522,100 New entries a go-go here with London Grammar selling more albums in 2014 than they managed in 2013 and hurrah for Paloma Faith who has three offerings in the top 100 with her most recent clocking in at No 82. Taylor Swift may have had a great year but “1989” doesn’t sell enough to make our list and “Red” takes a slight fall. Featured Track: WA4iX5D9Z64
January 4, 201510 yr Red :cheer:  Such an amazing album with so many amazing tracks  A perfect contradiction, les miserables, rated r and messy little raindrops are all amazing as well
January 4, 201510 yr I thought the Black Eyed Peas E.N.D hasn't sold more than 511k considering it features 3 Number 1 singles, one of them being a million seller. :o Good to see London Grammar make it in. :) Edited January 4, 201510 yr by gavindeejay

January 4, 201510 yr 511,900 this decade, total sales of 1,602,100 :P Yes of course. Senior moment.
January 4, 201510 yr I'm surprised given Les Misérables's dominance during early 2013 that its sales aren't higher! Fantastic placing for Paloma though, are all three of her albums in the top 100?! :o
January 4, 201510 yr A bit off topic, but is there a newer book of hit albums available than the one I have, the Virgin book of Hit albums from 2008, now needs to be updated. Edited January 4, 201510 yr by SKOB
January 4, 201510 yr 'Rated R' is easily Rihanna's best for me, shame that isn't reflected in the sales but it is her most experimental/dark so that's probably why~ Strong debut for London Grammar <3

BACK TO BLACK- Amy Winehouse (55-60-78-80) 523,700 (T/S 3,555,700) 79. TAKE THE CROWN- Robbie Williams (64-66-79) 525,200 78. HOME- Rudimental (NEW) 530,800 77. GHOST STORIES- Coldplay (NEW) 543,800 76. ULTIMATE COLLECTION- Whitney Houston (81-97-76) 544,600 (T/S 1,255,200) The first of three albums from Robbie arrives at No 79 just a place in front of the evergreen “Back To Black”. A good year for Whitney as she leaps 97-76 just ahead of two new entries as Rudimental arrive at No 78 and Coldplay prove they can still shift albums at No 77 though of course it is a marked come down and “Ghost Stories” looks likely to become their first album to fail to sell a million. January 5, 201510 yr Whitney Houston's collection is one you don't realise is so much of a good trickle seller as it spends most of its time in the budget chart! Pleased to see Back to Black here - an album I can listen to again and again!

CAUSTIC LOVE- Paolo Nutini (NEW) 545,100 74. THE MARSHALL MATHERS LP 2- Eminem (91-74) 550,000 73. GREATEST HITS- Westlife (50-51-65-73) 550,700 72. TIME FLIES 1994-2009- Oasis (38-62-67-77-72) 557,800 71. ONLY REVOLUTIONS- Biffy Clyro (26-39-49-59-71) 570,200 (T/S 694,000) A solid if unspectacular chart presence for Oasis this year sees them buoyed up here along with Eminem . His last two albums both topped the 1.7 million mark but it looks like Paolo Nutini won’t be adding a third album at that level. “Caustic Love” was still the fourth biggest album of the year though, overtaking Coldplay at the death.
