Can't see a thread for this, but the third round is underway this weekend and the dramatic match of today must have gone to Derby and Southport, with Derby scoring a penalty in the last minute of injury time to win 1-0! I was listening to the commentary on the radio, being a Derby fan, and as you probably would expect it was incredibly one-sided (Derby finished with something like 24 goal attempts and 17 corners!) but credit to Southport who did create a few attacks and their defending was heroic as the commentators said several times. They really deserved something to get that close, but I've got to be pleased that we won't have to go through a replay.

Great to hear Southport were cheered off by the whole stadium, this really is what the FA cup is all about even if Derby did sneak that victory!

I haven't looked at the rest of the results properly yet but it seems that losses for Forest and Norwich seem to be the biggest surprises, and Blyth put up a great effort against Birmingham!

Stewart Pearce can't be far away from the sack now.

Looking forward to the games across Sunday & Monday!

I'm hoping Forest hold onto Pearce for a couple more weeks as Derby play them two weeks today, and I don't want a new manager coming in and turning things around before then! :kink:

Can't see it being too long before he games, maybe after their next game. With the January transfer window it's likely to go be boom or boost. Depends on what the owners ambitions are I guess.

Yeah I'd have to agree, if they fail to win again next Saturday then I think he'll be gone. Although Forest are one of the three Championship teams with a transfer embargo so I can't see many managers wanting the job so Pearce may be able to hang on for longer.

Oh I didn't know they were under an embargo. That might save him then as I'm sure there are areas he knows he needs to strengthen, but doesn't have the means to.

Could there be any potential shocks tomorrow.

Possibly for me Hull beating Arsenal.

I could definitely see Dover possibly getting a draw against Crystal Palace.

Fantastic to see the FA Cup back on the BBC. And great that they'll be doing another "Final Score" on Sunday followed by the Arsenal v Hull match.

It's the FA Cup - anything can happen!!

I'm expecting Yeovil to give Manchester United a hard time, and AFC Wimbledon will most likely score against Liverpool. Akinfenwa will scare the daylights out of Skrtel.

Let's hope there's some shocks in the next couple of days to follow Preston and Rochdale. Gutted that Blyth came so close but Birmingham just turned the screw.

For the last week, all the local news has been reporting is how Yeovil is "abuzz" for today. Really hope they give a good account of themselves and that Man United put a good team out!

Villa must be vulnerable against Blackpool. They are shocking at Villa Park.

FA Cup 4th Round Draw:

Southampton or Ipswich v Crystal Palace

Cambridge United v Manchester United

Blackburn Rovers v Swansea City

Chelsea v Millwall/Bradford City

Derby Country v Scunthrope/Chesterfield

Preston North End v Sheffield United

Birmingham City v West Bromwich Albion

Aston Villa v AFC Bournemouth

Cardiff City v Reading

AFC Wimbledon/Liverpool v Bolton Wanderers

Burnley/Tottenham v Leicester City

Brighton & Hove Albion v Arsenal

Rochdale v Stoke City

Sunderland v Fulham/Wolves

Doncaster/Bristol City v Everton/West Ham

Manchester City v Middlesbrough

All the top teams kept apart.. great draw for Cambridge. Apart from that, there's no real ties for the broadcasters to be mad about.

My guesses for the live games

Cambridge v Man U (yes, Man U again but it's an obvious choice)

Brighton v Arsenal

Aston Villa v Bournemouth

Doncaster or Bristol c v Everton or West Ham

Not sure about the last one. Maybe Birmingham v WBA.

Hoping that Bournemouth sneak a win against Aston Villa!

I think Bournemouth have a great chance. They're scoring goals for fun and Villa look really toothless up front. Everton or West Ham against Bristol City at Ashton Gate could be very interesting indeed. We've got to get past Donny first of course but I'm fairly confident we will.

I went to Ashton Gate when West Ham were in the Championship and there was quite a few outbreaks of trouble :o

Would be a very heavily policed game if it came to pass, but not in the same league as Chelsea Millwall

Aston Villa v Bournemouth will be an interesting test for the Cherries. It should give some idea of whether they have any hope of staying up if they do make the Premier League.

Outside the ground I guess? I don't remember seeing any trouble inside the ground that night. We've always had a bit of a rep for trouble when the likes of Leeds/West Ham or Cardiff/Millwall come to town.

Was outside after the game yeah, although a couple of City fans "rushed" the away end when you scored  There were loads of police around the waterfront in the centre for some reason too. The Championship was a lot more "old school" for away games!
