Posted January 5, 201510 yr A bit of a strange topic I know but are there any acts who had one seemingly random hit in your chart which made them scream personal chart one hit wonder...yet then they went and impressed you all over again unexpectedly? I've had a few acts charting over the years who I really never expected to chart highly again after their initial hit, yet they all surprised me in a good way. Eiffel 65: Blue (Da Ba Dee) (#1) / Too Much Of Heaven (#1) / Living In A Bubble (#1) / Move Your Body (#3) Kim Lukas: All I Really Want (#1) / Let It Be The Night (#1) Bardot: Poison (#2) / Higher Than Heaven (#2) / Girls Do, Boys Don't (#2) Masai: Kick Back (#1) / Do That Thang (#1) Moony: Point Of View (with DB Boulevard) (#2) / Dove (#2) / Acrobats (#3) Milk Inc: In My Eyes (#1) / Walk On Water (#2) / Land Of The Living (#2) / For No Reason (#3) Ira Losco: 7th Wonder (#1) / One Step Away (#2) Love Inc: You're A Superstar (#1) / Broken Bones (#1) The Pipettes: Dirty Mind (#1) / So I'll Say Goodbye (#2) / Pull Shapes (#3) Sheelah: Psycho (#1) / The Last Time (#1) Roll Deep: Green Light (#1) / Good Times (#2) Nádine: I Will Be Strong (#1) / Juvenile (#2) / Skildery (#2) The Arrows: Spin My World (with DJ Kent) (#1) / Entropy (#1) Sheppard: Geronimo (#1) / A Grade Playa (#1) / Lingering (#2) / Something's Missing (#3)
January 5, 201510 yr George Ezra Budapest #1 Blame It On Me #1 Listen To The Man #3 Never expected any of these to go #1, #1 & #3 respectively let alone all top 3. Had LTTM down at a 22 peak at first and then it dropped because I wasn't feeling it too much and Budapest I charted for a few weeks in Oct 2013 with a peak of #27 and never expected it to be a huge smash hit the following year nor me to love it even more to put it at #1 on my chart! January 6, 201510 yr Britt Nicole - she's had two top 10 hits in my chart, one of which was my BJSC entry Gold, and another came from the same album but almost 2 years later as The Sun Is Rising went top 10 after hearing it in a film I saw (The Other Woman). 09 Gold - 18-9-11-12-19-36-35-13-12-10-11-13-18-30-36-X (15 weeks) 09 The Sun Is Rising - 30-9-14-31-X (4 weeks) 14 Breakthrough - 15-14-22-32-40-X (5 weeks) Fuse ODG - I never liked Antenna at first and even when I did come round to it, he seemed like a certain one-hit wonder. He's now had two top 10 hits and three further top 20s. 05 Million Pound Girl (Badder Than Bad) - 7-5-11-17-25-32-X (6 weeks) 10 Antenna - 10-13-23-28-35-39-X (6 weeks) 11 T.I.N.A. (Fuse ODG feat. January 8, 201510 yr Well I certainly expected 'I Knew You Were Trouble.' to be a one-off hit in my chart for Taylor given I didn't like any of her songs before that. First of three top 3 hits to date for her now ('The Last Time' and 'Blank Space' being the other 2).
