The new Rudimental track is ok but very underwhelming when stacked up against the likes of Feel the Love/Not Giving In :( I sense a short-lived Top 15 hit for this

I think radio 1 will hammer it as they are a big return after a successful first era but as you say it's not as good but could still chart well easily top 5 for me.

What was Sundays TOTD?

Radio 1s Hottest Record in the World 18/5/2015

The official second single from Muse, the follow up to Dead Inside...

Out Now

Muse Mercy

That new Muse record is great!

TOTD for Tue 19th May - Rita Ora 'Poison'

It's nice enough but it seems a little weak given that she's had so long to work on new material. I was expecting a big epic sounding pop song. Not a fan of the lyrics either.

Playlist predix for this afternoon...

Robin Schulz feat. Jasmine Thompson - Sun Goes Down

Ben Howard – She Treats Me Well

Fall Out Boy - Uma Thurman

Nero - The Thrill

Olly Murs - Beautiful To Me

Rhodes - Close Your Eyes

Ne-Yo feat. Juicy J - She Knows (although they could quite easily just snub this)

Tinie Tempah feat. Jess Glynne - Not Letting Go (early add)

Not sure of Muse or Rita Ora's impact dates but obviously they'll definitely be supported.

my predix ~

* David Zowie - House Every Weekend

* Everything Everything - Regret

* Fall Out Boy - Uma Thurman

* Lonely The Brave - River, River

* Nero - The Thrill

* Petite Meller - Baby Love [iNMWT]

* Olly Murs - Beautiful To Me

* Robin Schulz ft. Jasmine Thompson - Sun Goes Down

* Taylor Swift ft. Kendrick Lamar - Bad Blood

other potentials:

Ben Howard - She Treats Me Well

Billie Marten - Heavy Weather

J Cole - Wet Dreamz

Muse - Mercy

Ne-Yo ft. Juicy J - She Knows

Rat Boy - Sign On

Seafret - Atlantis

^^ Yeah forgot to put Taylor in my list, I'd imagine she's a definite. Also Everything Everything.
I hope Bad Blood is playlisted. I know Radio 1 like to stick to the release schedules but in cases like these they need to strike while the iron is hot, because sometimes they end up waiting weeks and finally C-list something when it's beginning to fall, or has fallen.
Surely it's available now though (even the remix) so it can't have a different impact date of weeks from now? So Radio would have to treat it as a proper OA/OS single and add it straighhtaway?
I'm thinking Taylor & Kendrick will go straight onto the B-List at least. I wanted to say straight to A, but I dunno if that has ever happened? So I think B is a certainty. I'll be pretty surprised if it's "only" a C-List addition...

Yeah it did occur to me that it might go straight to B-list but that only really happens for completely new songs ('Shake It Off', 'Blame', 'Something From Nothing' being recent examples), so I'd actually be very surprised if it happens. Straight to A hasn't happened since Jan 2012.

I can see why straight to A list doesn't happen, if you're a regular listener and a song is suddenly being played every hour out of nowhere it's a bit weird. It's better to slowly warm up to it. I know they do it sometimes, but I find it annoying when they don't wheel off the A list either, when something is being hammered one week and suddenly never gets played again, like 7/11.

But its also a bit silly when a song that massively popular right now isnt just supported straight away while its actual on the up or huge at the time just to please the sensitivites of the impact date or their specific way of introducing a song. Its hapened on numerous occassions in the last yr.

Florence and the Machine Delilah

Third single from her third album out in 2 weeks.

20/5/2015

Jamie XX Featuring Popcaan/Young Thug I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)

The second single from Jamie's new album, I'm loving the dancehall beats. Really different actually!!

Today's TOTD (Thu 21st May) hardly needs any introduction on this forum...

To all those people that still think Radio 1 are gonna snub this... I'll run round my office naked if it isn't added next week!
