The amount of time between Satin Circus song being released and them losing in the final is really small in the larger view of things. Those bets did influence the odds but hardly at all. And yeah by the end of the UMK the hype was largely on the side of the punk rockers.

Russia and Estonia are shortening fast across the board! Down to 5s/6s and 7s/8s respectively :cheer:
Serbia have jumped up to around 20/1 after qualifying last night and are now 6th favourite to win! :o

They actually dropped as low as 12/1 last night I think, they've fell back a bit since the draw was made but still a massive jump. I do think it's an effect of people seeing a stereotypical massive Eurovision performance and running with it, I'd be shocked if it was near the top 5 on Saturday. Hera Bjork was 2nd in her semi-final and finished like 18th, this'll probably do the same (although a bit higher).

I always have thought will think that the Icelandic volcano caused Hera to bomb!

she even moved to Peru shortly after that~

I'll do a full odds update either later tonight or tomorrow, but Belgium are having a dramatic shortening of their odds across the board now - 11s, 12s and 16s in most places and continuing to shorten.

Big update time for the final!

As always, these are the best odds available according to Oddschecker with tied countries ordered by their support on Betfair Exchange. Countries that are moving up the odds position-wise (not necessarily odds-wise) compared to the last update on here are coloured in green, those moving down are in red and those who haven't moved are in black.

Belgium to do a Common Linnets please but actually win!

If Belgium takes the crown I'd be so happy, not as happy as Georgia doing it but Belgium is my favorite that is viable to take the top spot!

If Belgium take it I would be ecstatic but I can't see it happening.

Antwerp 2k16

I am really starting believe Sweden wont win, i see a Russian win with Sweden second.

Yep I really feel Polina is in with a huge chance! Russia hosting wouldn't be great but it's an immense song with a message of tolerance, which maybe is a hypocritical for a country like Russia but I feel that's what Eurovision should be about. An immense song with an incredible message of tolerance and peace, not a good enough but generic Avicii clone with boring lyrics. Polina has spoken up for LGBT rights which shows she's not just a robot of her country churning out homophobia. For the sake of a contest where gay fans can go and watch without fear though, it's not the best choice of winner  Top 4 is fine by me so I'm in the money :kink:
Surely the contest is about finding the best song, not about finding the best message? imo Sweden and Russia are both very good song, but Sweden edges it by quite a margin, altho neither are the best songs out there

I hope Sweden (or anyone else bar Russia) will still come 1st, as it's going to be hypocritical as f*** if Russia wins with such kind of song, it reminds me of nazi propaganda. An (almost) Million Voices of dead people in Ukraine last year because of us. But I think everyone will be safe if Russia actually hosts this. But I'm more than fine with Russia coming second. I'm not a fan of song but the performance was amazing, I was shocked by how fab it was.

I'm very bad at Eurovision predictions but I think it will be: 1. Sweden, 2. Russia.

Australia is either going top-5 or completely bombing.

Ew. Someone stop that Belgium thing. STOP IT. QUICK.

I'm gonna be betting on Russia to win and E/W on Azerbaijan, Latvia & Georgia! (Although I want SWEDEN to win!)

EDIT: Although, I do think Albania could shock, again!

Ew. Someone stop that Jonjo thing. STOP IT. QUICK.

Russia is also the best song. Well Israel is but there's no way he's winning </3 Of the realistic contenders, Polina is well ahead of the others. I'm very tired of Heroes now, it's like any old Avicii song except not as shit. It's good but very disappointing for such a country.
