I think the advert is quite good tbh aren't adevert's for entertainment/reality TV shows meant to be cringey anyway ?

True, but to me it just seems like they arent taking it serious now

That trailer was brillant, the show is mocking itself and that's good fun, I feel like this year is going to be so much fun ! :cheer:

Exactly. I for one think that is exactly what the show needs to be these days. It's lost any pretense of being about finding the next singing superstar, if it happens it will be a happy accident but even if you win now it's moderate success at best. It's first and foremost entertainment now and that trailer is highlighting that and doing so very well at that.

Just what I was going to say :) It definitely feels like the show's gonna be fun again!

PS I've applied for Boot Camp filming in September :D

Yeah the tone is perfect I think. I don't think it's totally out of the question that they'll still find moderately successful acts but with the way they handle winners lately I'm not expecting any "success" for the winner beyond James Arthur's level! We watch it and get invested but there's really no point in them pretending they're going to find the next Ed Sheeran or Taylor Swift, because they're not and I hate when reality shows act like they will!
TBH, I can easily be detached right now because the last winner I loved was Little Mix, which feels like the last time the series was TRULY a vehicle to find a popstar.
So it's currently looking like the first audition shows will be going out over Bank Holiday weekend on 29th August

Quite late. Am sure it started mid-August last year.

Just won tickets to attend a session of the Six Chair Challenge! haha

It's got four sessions in total, assuming it's one session per judge I'm hoping I get to see Cheryl picking her acts.

I have too! I'm hoping I get to see the girls category as that always has my favourites in, but seeing any category will be very fun and intriguing too.

Well it will be the longest session as she can't make a decision.

Worth going to then if that's the case. I wanna see her struggle with her head in her hands.
I have tickets for Six Chair Challenge too - second day of filming :)
EXCLUSIVE! Get ready because @TheXFactor is back on 29th & 30th August at 8pm on @ITV Expect the unexpected.

#XFactor

Back next weekend!

First preview of the new series:

I think it's safe to say I'm quite excited about this, yes

Cheryl has had herself a nice lil promotion to Executive Producer
