I love Kelly in Fashion Police  and the video for "Marilyn Monroe"

Also I still remember when "Crank That" was one of my faves of 2007

It’s this lot that you have to thank for part of Westlife’s success believe it or not! Their third single “Forever” was a hit over Christmas 1996 and got the attention of Mr Cowell who searched out the writers Wayne Hector and Steve Mac (this was their first composition together) and who he subsequently used extensively to write much of the material for his acts. Anyway their success in the 90s was cut short when their label folded and by the time they signed a new contract and got new material out in 2000 we had all moved on. Only member of note is Jade Jones who is Mr Emma Bunton.

58.SHOLA AMA (607,000) 5 HITS

There can’t be many better 16th birthday presents than signing your own record contract and that’s exactly what Ama did back in 1995 and after a year of writing and preparing her first single “You’re the One I love” bombed missing the charts entirely. Cover version to the rescue and “You Might Need Somebody” proved just the ticket making the top 5 with a re-issued YTOIL going even better to make No 3. BRITS and MOBO’s followed in 1998 and all looked rosy before the traditional fate for British R N B female singers came to pass and Ama promptly went off the boil.

57. SEAN KINGSTON (608,000) 6 HITS

When “Beautiful Girls” topped the charts back in September 2007 Kingston became the first artist born in the 90s to top the charts in the Noughties- trivia right there for you! It was his only top 10 hit whilst still a teenager but he hit the headlines again in 2011 when he was involved in a Jet Ski accident which thankfully didn’t turn out too serious.

I'm surprised to see Shola Ama on this list... always thought she was in her mid to late twenties during the time of chart success!
Loved Shola Ama when I was a kid, "You're The One I Love" was my jam, and even loved the singles from her 2nd album "Still Believe" and "Imagine" they were both brilliant and can't believe they flopped so hard. Such a shame she had such potential.
Conor Maynard is definitely a big guilty pleasure of mine, for me he's delivered with every single so far, and the production on 'R U Crazy' was fantastic. Anyone know why he's waiting so long to release a second album? 'Contrast' came out in 2012, and 'R U Crazy' was late 2013, then there's been nothing since then. Has he been dropped? I'd be surprised if he has, especially after a #1 album.

Another group helped to fame via youtube, Cover Drive were promoted with a little help from fellow Bajan Rihanna on the home leg of her “Loud” tour in 2011. They surprised some when their second track “Twilight” became a smash and grab No 1 single in February 2012 and are still on target for a second album in the imminent future.

Introducing a spot of tropical sunshine into the summer of 1988, Glenn Medeiros popped up with a cover of George Benson’s “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You” which spent a month at No 1. It was to be his only top 40 entry until 1990’s “She Ain’t Worth It” which just sneaked into the charts before his 20th Birthday and saw him paired up with the unlikely duet partner Bobby Brown.

When “Royals” hit the top spot in late 2013 it marked only the second time that a New Zealand act had made the top here (Kimbra was the first as far as I can establish anyway) and spent 9 weeks at the top in the US where she was the youngest female to do so since Tiffany 26 years previously. In the UK she was the youngest woman to make No 1 since Billie Piper in 1998, she hasn’t managed to hit the top 20 since but with a second album due this year that could all change.

He's been teasing his new single for a couple of weeks now so it's not far off!

Oh really? Looking forward to that then. Any idea why he's taken 3 years between albums?

No idea sadly! I've been anticipating it for ages

Shola AMA I totally loved her singles

Maybe you should ask him on Twitter :P

Also, letting Lorde help create the Hunger Games soundtrack was the best decision in the world.

53.DEBBIE GIBSON (636,000) 8 HITS

The original teen prom pop princess, Gibson was scoring US No 1 singles at just 18 when “Foolish Beat” went all the way enabling her to become the youngest act ever to write produce and sing a US chart topper. Her UK success wasn’t quite as amazing with only the aforementioned “Foolish Beat” and “Shake Your Love” making the top 10 as she was eclipsed here by both Tiffany and Kylie in the teen stakes of 1988. She was last spotted as Katy Perry’s mother in the video for “Last Friday Night”.
