I'll be shocked if it isn't Jane or Peter tbh, I'm leaning towards Peter because he's leaving so it's the perfect way to write him out of the show

There's so many references to EE history in today's episode. Nick lying in the position Reg Cox died, Dot asking for Dr Legg (Walford's original GP) and Nick grabbing Dot's leg in the same way Dirty Den grabbed Chrissie's foot just before he died.

Yeah, I picked up on a lot too! So many during the Dot/Nick scenes. It's a really great tribute and shows how much DTC cares about the show and how much a fan he is himself.

I 100% believe it's Jane now.

I don't even watch the show and I know the killer is Jane.

 

 

Did none of you read the news story?

 

Where a customer was spread betting on Jane throughout London? People only do this unless they have good info.

I don't think it will be Jane, but I imagine she'll be involved in the cover up. I think the actual killer will be Peter, Cindy or Denise.

Can't see it being Denise. She's never fit well as a suspect. She wanted to leave Ian the day Lucy died. Why would she have killed Lucy, knowing that she'd feel like she had to stay with him in the aftermath?

Why do people think it would be Jane I mean what reason would she have ? My money is on either Peter Abi or Cindy. But if it was Peter or Cindy I wouldn't be suprised if Jane knew about it and helped with the cover up.

Jane deciding to marry Ian so quickly makes her look a bit guilty tbh. She's also made up an alibi for Lauren and hid Lucy's phone. She may not have meant to kill Lucy but it doesn't mean she didn't.

It's the way that she hide Lucy's phone tbh.

Only 6 days to go, I still have my suspicions on Peter, its just niggling at me for some reason, but the way Lauren looked at Jane in tonight's episode makes me think its Jane now.

 

I don't know, I think it's definetely someone who was at Ian and Jane's party as Lauren was looking at everyone suspiciously

 

Jane could still be involved as the spoilers seem to indicate the reveal happens at the wedding, but I'm not convinced by the four person theory. That would be a real anti climax for me but I can't wait to see how next week unfolds

I've got my final theory now. The classic EE whodunnit killer is usually someone with a clear motive, but not one of the most obvious people. The suspects with a clear motive would be:

 

Peter - obviously after what he heard

Ian - at a stretch because of what Lucy said to him, but I don't think that's clear enough

Cindy - jealousy of not being the loved golden child and outcast of not being a 'real Beale'

Whitney - Lucy bullied her and obviously slept with Lee despite Whitney being after him

Abi - angry over Lucy having an affair with Max

Max - jealous and angry over her ditching him for Lee

 

I don't think anyone else has a strong enough grievance. Secondly, discounting the obvious suspects would leave cut out Abi and Max. Thirdly, if EE wanted the killer to not being included very much to keep them out of our minds to forget them as a suspect, that would leave Cindy and Whitney who have barely appeared since New Year's Day.

 

Finally it would need to be someone to provide a big enough impact and a good enough actor to carry off the reveal. Both Cindy and Whitney's actresses are quite strong so it probably comes down to impact. Whitney would affect multiple families, but once she's gone and caught I don't think it would have a lasting impact. Whereas, Cindy is related to the Beales and now has a daughter to continue her link. It would have greater lasting impact if it were someone from within the family. Also, the chewing up on the cup suggests someone less mature and that could be Cindy. I think Jane will have covered for her due to her being pregnant and possibly Denise also helped if she heard an argument downstairs. I thought maybe the picture that Emma was looking at was maybe Jane's missing car?

 

So that's why I believe it will mostly like be Cindy, but Whitney is still also a good shout.

I agree - Whitney and Cindy are my 2 top picks, although I had a dream that it was Denise :lol:

 

It HAS to be someone she knows - I doubt it's Peter as now Stace thinks it's him and Lauren doesn't seem scared of him anyway.

 

The way she looked at Jane though omg!!!!

 

I think Jane is behind the cover-up and took her car away the next day to clean it.

 

It's NOT going to be someone unconnected and random like Mick Carter or Phil Mitchell though. It's never Phil Mitchell - who's betting on him? :lol:

 

But what aboot that betting person from back in October who cut the odds of Jane down to like 2/1?

 

And the spoiler pics are making me think.

 

Howeverrrr if the killer IS Jane, after the betting thing and the finger being pointed her way by Lauren's look, then it would be expected and disappointing. So for thatttt I think she was one of a group of people and the real killer is Cindy perhaps. Let's face it - why else would she end the engagement unless the murderer was SOMEONE IN HER FAMILY OR HIS??

 

I think Whitney would be the best bet buuut maybe it's like a Dirty Den thing and Cindy AND Whitney teamed up or something.

 

I like the idea of the death being similar to Emma's though and it was accidental - following the bang on her head from Max, someone knocked her again and it caused it. That would open the playing field as right now there isn't really any motives, so maybe it was an accident and maybe that's why people helped with the cover-up if that's how Jane is involved.

 

Annnd that would make it possible for chars like Cindy orrr Bobby to do her in.

What chewed-up cup?

When the 'killer' met Emma, their plastic tea cup was chewed up which means it was either someone really nervous or a younger person.

Oooh didn't see that.

 

So either it's someone close to Emma orrr someone young for her not to go to the polcie straight away.

 

It's not Max as she told Max the killer wasn't Lo-Lauren in the car before she died, meaning it probably wasn't Abbey either.
