January 28, 201511 yr Think that was 5 seconds of summer Or The Vamps. 'Me And My Broken Heart' surprisingly actually spent 4 weeks on the A-list. I don't think they'll snub the new single though, despite the under-performance of 'Wait On Me'. If anything, they'll just add it next week and then C/B-list it for a couple of weeks.
January 28, 201511 yr The Radio 1 playlist is so so predictable. No exciting additions, it was obvious they would playlist new Calvin and Years & Years.
January 28, 201511 yr Yeah both 5SOS and The Vamps got playlisted the day they were #1 in the chart update, and were supported with future singles. Seems like R1 were being sheep there really, both had clear hype before the single release anyway.
January 28, 201511 yr Yes really. Wait On Me did bomb but I'd still be surprised if they were totally snubbed with this track. And yes, they did playlist Me and My Broken Heart. Wasn't Me and my Broken Heart one of the most played songs last summer? I remember them playing it many times a day. It was def Alisted for at least 6 weeks?! Is Kelly Clarkson out on the 1/3? She still has a time. Great to see The Wombats getting support on daytime, it's a decent track by them. Go for that mid noughties indie pop relevance in 2015!! Good to see rihanna in the blist but why not just add the worlds biggest pop stars first new single in 2 years into the Alist since it was OA/OS? January 30, 201511 yr From what I remember 'Me And My Broken Heart' was playlisted from the beginning. Radio 1 are sceptical always of boy/girl pop groups at the beginning though. Neon Jungle were another they ignored 'Braveheart' but playlisted 'Welcome To The Jungle' and 'Louder'. Not that I was fussed as 'Braveheart' was pretty awful looking back. 5SOS have grown on me and 'Don't Stop' was a great pop song I thought.
