After selling/streaming a huge 172k last week, Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do' is set for another week at #1 with further big sales. This week should hopefully see a bit of chart clear out with several new releases looking to do well: DJ Fresh's collaboration with Ella Eyre 'Gravity' should debut in the Top 3 whilst Chris Brown & Tyga's 'Ayo', Charli XCX and Rita Ora's 'Doing It' and Ne-Yo's 'Coming With You' are looking for Top 10 placings. Other new entries should include Bakermat's 'Teach Me' and Imagine Dragons' 'I Bet My Life' whilst The Weeknd's 'Earned It' should continue to climb, possibly Top 10. The main competition for the #1 album this week is Kodaline's second album 'Coming Up for Air'. Their debut, In a Perfect World, was a midweek #1, I believe, but had to settle for a #3 placing instead. Sam Smith may prove to be a threat, however, following his big 4-Grammy win last night. New entries to the Top 10 may include Father John Misty's I Love You, Honeybear, Jack Savoretti's Written in Scars and Peace's Happy People whilst others may come from Gretchen Peters, The Unthanks, The Football Ramble, Black Rivers and Blackberry Smoke. Expect the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack to easily take #1 in the compilations, ahead of the film's release in cinemas on Saturday. ======================================================== Please note new changes to the Sunday Chart Predictions thread topic: Tuesday/Thursday - There will be no mids from MW for Tuesday and Thursday, however they may come from other sources - this is not always guaranteed. February 10, 201511 yr Mint Royale @MintRoyale · 24m 24 minutes ago DJ Fresh and Ella Eyre within nudging distance of Ellie Goulding on the singles with5 new entries in the top 10! Mint Royale @MintRoyale · 23m 23 minutes ago Although if you are one of the absolute f***wits still buying Chris Brown records please unfollow me. In at 4 :( Mint Royale @MintRoyale · 23m 23 minutes ago Charli XCX and Rita at 7, it’s all very congested though. Mint Royale @MintRoyale · 20m 20 minutes ago In the album chart it’s all who? and really? 1 Kodaline, 3 Peace, 5 Jack Savoretti, 7 Blackberry Smoke. Mint Royale @MintRoyale · 19m 19 minutes ago And if you needed empirical proof the Grammys were correct, Beck is above Beyonce. Edited February 10, 201511 yr by Joey XCX.
February 10, 201511 yr Although if you are one of the absolute f***wits still buying Chris Brown records please unfollow me. In at 4 :( If it helps, I have never bought a Chris Brown track (or anything in iTunes store apart from one free single )
February 10, 201511 yr What do people have against Chris Brown's music!? Yes, he's a terrible human being but his music is great
February 10, 201511 yr I've yet be convinced that a single Chris Brown track is above average, let alone great.
February 10, 201511 yr This has been dragged up on Buzzjack many a time. I usually try not to let dodgy celebrity personalities/behaviour affect whether I buy their music, but I feel as though somebody beating up a woman is just crossing the line, so I wouldn't touch his music regardless of the quality. Edited February 10, 201511 yr by Joey XCX.
February 10, 201511 yr A lot of girls and women I know LOVE Chris Brown  Evidently his past doesn't put people off - maybe girls are attracted to the danger or something.
February 10, 201511 yr What do people have Chris Brown's music!? Yes, he's a terrible human being but his music is great  Well my time on the forums show that rap is certainly not the most popular genre on here  (although for some reason female rappers like Iggy and Azalea seem to get somewhat less hate) so on top of that, and what Joey mentioned about beating Rihanna up, it's not that surprising to see so much hate  But, if I remember correctly, Rihanna forgave him for his wrongdoings, so in my opinion, I think what's done is done and they have moved on with the past, why can't we? :D I also don't take into account an artist's personal history and rather focus on the music. Unless of course, they are EXCEPTIONALLY bad i.e. a serial killer or something but I doubt such a person would have released anything worth listening to  I've yet be convinced that a single Chris Brown track is above average, let alone great. Well Loyal and Ayo are great tracks, along with Yeah 3x and many other of his songs, but I'm not sure that his voice or rapping style is anything unique or talented  It seems funny to see Ayo's probable peak beating that of Loyal, when Loyal seems, at the moment, still one of his more recognisable and successful tracks he's done. I'm not sure how long Ayo will stick around for compared to Loyal  A lot of girls and women I know LOVE Chris Brown  Evidently his past doesn't put people off - maybe girls are attracted to the danger or something. I guess he's attractive to younger girls  the danger? Edited February 10, 201511 yr by §þiŋŋiŋğ Åđɑм
February 10, 201511 yr Yeah, well everyone is different, you can't force your opinions on other people but a lot of girls hate him too.
February 10, 201511 yr I guess he's attractive to younger girls  the danger? Girls in their twenties too :o You're right that Rihanna has forgiven him, but its pretty unforgiveable what he did. Best to just focus on the music  Yeah, well everyone is different, you can't force your opinions on other people but a lot of girls hate him too. If anything I agree with you  I'm glad a lot of girls hate him! Anyway, hopefully Gravity goes top 3, Ayo top 5 and Ne-Yo top 10. I'd expect Ayo and Coming With You to just miss out though.
February 10, 201511 yr I'm *really* hoping Gravity can stay #2 on Sunday. I'm worried about Charli missing the top 10. Could see this easily being an #11 or #12 for her. Graham might save her on Friday though.
February 10, 201511 yr I've never been a big Chris Brown fan (although a couple of singles have been pretty decent) but that's more to do with the music than the fact that he beats up women. However, I just looked on polyhex and 'Ayo' is set to become Chris Brown's 40th (YES 40TH!!!) Top 75 single :o am I the only one who's completely shocked by that number?? That includes features but still. Who can even name 10 Chris Brown hits, let alone 40 of them? Edited February 10, 201511 yr by Mango
February 10, 201511 yr ^ Looking down that list, I recognised 28 of those songs :o Would have been to name at least 20 I think
