February 15, 201510 yr Author I've not followed the mids this week, what's the reason for the Alanis re-entry? Google Play's 99p album of the week. I'm more curious about Emeli's album - has that also been going cheap this week? I'm sure she hasn't done anything of note recently (I doubt 'What I Did For Love' is behind this seeing as it's struggling to sell itself let alone an album it doesn't feature on )
February 15, 201510 yr Why are the Kylie albums classed as new entries altogether? They each have only one week on the chart according to the OCC's records.
February 15, 201510 yr Why are the Kylie albums classed as new entries altogether? They each have only one week on the chart according to the OCC's records. This thread topic should help http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...p;#entry4969455 :D
February 15, 201510 yr Why are the Kylie albums classed as new entries altogether? They each have only one week on the chart according to the OCC's records. It's because they hadn't entered the charts within the time that the current chart compiler (Millward Brown) has been in charge (since 1994).
February 15, 201510 yr Fergie was really saved by streaming, in the sales-only chart she went 2-9-21 which seems like a disaster even compared to very-same-but-different 3-10-19 run. The single doesn't do wonders but it still had a smash peak, two weeks in the top-10 and if the next single is good it has all the potential to be supported and to be a hit.
February 15, 201510 yr I've not followed the mids this week, what's the reason for the Alanis re-entry? Googleplay 99p deal EDIT just realised that's already been answered  Shame Kylie's 'Let's Get To It' missed out on a Top 100 finish though Edited February 15, 201510 yr by florenceminogue
February 15, 201510 yr Did NOT see Drake coming for that #3 with a Friday release :o poor Kodaline though, I think I'm right in saying both their albums were midweek #1s that couldn't hold on come Sunday :(

Poor guys!
February 16, 201510 yr Who are these new entries outside top ten on album chart? I know some of them, such as Father John Misty and Peace, but most of others... no idea!
February 16, 201510 yr Just noticed that Sam Smith has had 3 singles simultaneously in the Top 40 for the last 14 weeks. So then I counted that Ed Sheeran had 3 singles (Sing/Don't/TOL) simultaneously in the Top 40 for 22 consecutive weeks (starting from w/c 05/07/14). Anyone know if that's a record? I can't think of any other examples in the past where an artist would have had 3 or more singles in the chart for that long. I wonder how many more Sam Smith will rack up, surely 'Stay With Me' will leave the Top 40 soon...

February 16, 201510 yr Author Who are these new entries outside top ten on album chart? I know some of them, such as Father John Misty and Peace, but most of others... no idea! Well Black Rivers are 2/3 of Doves who you may know :P (Who have incidentally charted just four places higher than the other 1/3's solo album).
February 16, 201510 yr Author Imagine Dragons' 'Radioactive' has reached 100 weeks in the top 100! Bastille's 'Pompeii' likely to follow suit next week.
February 16, 201510 yr Well Black Rivers are 2/3 of Doves who you may know :P (Who have incidentally charted just four places higher than the other 1/3's solo album). Thanks, I loved Doves at one point, totally missed the info about this.
February 17, 201510 yr Do they have to be the same 3 songs? If not, Rihanna (of course): 25 weeks. I'd assume there's longer though. Didn't even think of Rihanna. It would have been more impressive if they were the same 3 songs and all lead Rihanna singles rather than features, which would have made it more comparable with Ed Sheeran or Sam Smith. But I guess that's still quite an achievement by Rihanna, she really was quite ubiquitous back in 2010/2011!
February 19, 201510 yr Style top 40 sales but #65 officially   Her 3rd & 4th single releases might find it difficult to find a high peak without streams in this era!
