Diamonds is nice in certain circumstances. Kinda like in the Pokemon battles way back in the day. You know, some would have the attack "lullaby", and it would lull the other Pokemon to sleep so that it could be more easily ATTACKED and TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. That's what I think of when I hear Diamonds.

Basically after this tie, instead of sticking 'Diamonds' in the next round, just eliminate it but at the higher position than WHYB.
