February 26, 201510 yr I'm not convinced yet. Of it winning, that is, the song is pretty strong and without having listened to any of the other clips yet, will have an easy time in this heat.
February 26, 201510 yr btw is it normal each year that songs/artists get preferential treatment / they know what is going to do well so put it on last. where is the competition? i don't like being lead up the garden path and i'm finding it quite off putting this year...
February 26, 201510 yr I would use that to describe Eric, Danny, Anton, Oscar Zia and basically all the Swedish guys EXCEPT Mans, who's normally quite good for his genre. Which means we only really have Eric repping the 4/10 guys this year. (as far as solo acts go, S&V and probably JTR are falling into that category too)
February 26, 201510 yr song sounds dreadful and he looks like any old washed out gay @ G.A.Y. OUT! GET. OUT!

Yeah, happens just about every year. Heat 4, final slot is almost always given to someone they're really trying to push. Mans, Anton Ewald, Ulrik Munther, Danny Saucedo, Love Generation etc. People don't HAVE to vote for a song if they don't like it just because it performs last but it makes sense to have big fanbase acts on last to keep people watching etc, bearing in mind this is a TV show as much as anything. You can't push something if people aren't interested in it though, 'Natural' was the final song of last year and the first song of the final, two big slots, rock bottom in the final. Sanna, performs 6th in her heat, 8th in the final and wins it - ultimately the running order won't ever decide a winner imo and people do sometimes fail to qualify at all even placed last.

It always happens that the bigger acts who've earned their keep get the better slots or bigger production - it doesn't always mean they do best.
February 26, 201510 yr Sweden are masters in manipulation with running orders, just see what they did to Eurovision itself with their producer decided running order! (Although to be fair it has worked out quite well considering the massive negativity towards it when first announced...) Not quite getting the "Mans is incredible" comments, seems like a solid but unspectactular track to me but of course you can't tell anything from 30 seconds really. It definitely isn't screaming winner though to me. Staging looks very cool though!
February 26, 201510 yr song sounds dreadful and he looks like any old washed out gay @ G.A.Y. dead. to. me. 'Heroes' sounds pretty good, his star power definitely gives it the boost it needs even in that short clip. So smooth and confident. (lovely commentary as ever Tirren, I did guffaw at the JTR bit)
