I would happily have The Saturdays representing United Kingdom at the Eurovision tbh, a little bit of easy promotion as well as arguably their highest selling single since 'What About Us' as it would no doubt do decently worldwide with 'Finest Selection' possibly charting worldwide.

The girls don't have much to lose and with a pop BANGER they could manage one last hit.

Isn't it considered like a total "career-killing" move, though?

I know they aren't in any position to be picky and stuff, but Jesus, to go down that route... I'd rather they stick to the plan of "all going solos to become solo entities and bring interest in the group when we reform" than do this.

I don't know.

I mean even the Sugababes didn't, you know.

Yes yes yes yes

It'd be great promo for them and with a song like WAU or 808 they could easily smash

No. Simply because the pressure would get to them and they'd f*** it up.
As much as I would LOVE them to do it. A complete live vocal from the girls with no backing track and only one backing singer, (you can only have 6 people on stage) would probably cause problems, as they haven't done that in a while...

I agree Martyn. Unless they did a really slow track with minimal dancing/movement.

Yes.

Something like 'Wildfire' especially would smash so hard at Eurovision. TBH, they really don't have too much to lose and I honestly think at this moment in time it'd HELP them slightly.

But these girls haven't had a career to worry about killing for 2 years now.

Girlbands seldom do well at Eurovision though. Serebro came 3rd for Russia in 2007 and that's about it success wise.

People are so rude as if they use backing track or mime on acoustic performances

Would you see an acoustic performance going down a storm at Eurovison.

The Common Linnets did pretty well with a sort of acoustic song
^

Yes.

I would never say this about any of my favs. But it would probably be the only way The Saturdays would be able to sell records at this point in their career( or lack of).

It was just an argument to show that they can sing live when they are in their comfort zone

They can always do ballads, too.

I also believe Eurovision has better studios and sound engineers than This freaking Morning.
