June 16, 201510 yr Chris Evans has been confirmed as the new lead presenter from next series. He's signed a three year deal, which seems a bit ambitious considering the show could well flop with a new line-up of presenters.
June 16, 201510 yr What a load of cunty bollocksy BULLSHIT that is. :manson: Chris Evans has the personality of a squashed snail. Good god no. BBC have just destroyed the Top Gear brand and the multi million pound good will it has built up in a single move.
June 16, 201510 yr Chris Evans is a reasonable enthusiastic choice of presenter, a legion of radio fans, and he's nice to guests, says nice things generally and is not a right-wing callous pompous posh planet-hating punching insulting twat. So yay for that then.... :teresa:
June 16, 201510 yr Chris Evans oh dear god :manson: I would have opted for a female presenter Gabby Logan
June 17, 201510 yr Chris Evans oh dear god :manson: I would have opted for a female presenter Gabby Logan word is there will be one, he's not changing the format much, and as a big mate of the big three I wouldnt be surprised to see any of them as guests after a suitable length of time to get his style established...
June 21, 201510 yr Author Interesting that Clarkson might have returned after a year or so if May and Hammond stayed on. I think Chris is a sensible choice out of those who were rumoured but, if this is still to be a success, a lot will depend on the chemistry with the other two presenters. Funny that the breakfast DJs on Radio 1 and 2 secured major TV jobs in the same week.
June 28, 201510 yr Author Well the last Top Gear with the Clarkson/May/Hammond trio airs tonight, will anyone be watching? There's also heavy rumours that the trio will be presenting a similar car show on Netflix.
December 24, 20159 yr Author The Telegraph reports that German racing driver Sabine Schmitz and motoring journalist Chris Harris will be joining the series as presenters. The Sun has also reported that, former F1 driver and presenter, David Coulthard will also be a new addition.
February 4, 20169 yr Author BBC Two have tweeted that Matt Le Blanc (Joey from Friends) is apparently joining Chris Evans? Not sure if this is serious or not  Looking at his Twitter it seems it is true! Very unexpected and bizarre choice.
February 4, 20169 yr Well he has been working quite a lot in a BBC sitcom which totally takes the piss out of Matt Le Blanc the actor, so I can see it working and having international appeal to boot. Never under-estimate Chris Evans power to organise a hit.. :cheer:
February 4, 20169 yr :o Now that is unexpected! If anything, it increases my interest to see whether Top Gear will work or not.
February 11, 20169 yr Author http://ichef-1.bbci.co.uk/news/660/cpsprodpb/17459/production/_88212359_topgear.jpg Full line up (from L-R) is: Rory Reid (Presenter) Sabine Schmitz (German racing driver) Matt LeBlanc (Actor) Chris Evans (Radio 2/Presenter) Chris Harris (Motor Journalist/YouTube star) Eddie Jordan (F1 Constructor/F1 Commentator) Rory is a newcomer and was picked from public auditions!
February 15, 20169 yr Lol what a MESS. Glad to see Sabine in there but I doubt she alone can save this car crash.
February 15, 20169 yr All the bad press reminds me of James Bond Daniel Craig. "OMG worst bond EVER?" "FANS REVOLT!!!" "Daniel Craig knocked out by HENCHMAN!!" OMG it was a HENCHMAN not the main VILLAIN!! Errr yes? A henchman in rl is bigger, stronger and any man can do that? Theen the movie came out and OMG SOOO GOOD!! WOW!!! OMG!!!! BEST BOND EVA?? The press always does this. Over. The. Top.
February 21, 20169 yr Well I'm looking forward to watching Top Gear for a change. I always used to leave the room when Clarkson was on and do something meaningful like giving the cat's eating bowls a good clean.
