23 :up: (from 63) Lost Prophets - A Town Called Hypocrisy

'A Town Called Hypocrisy' is the second single lifted from the acclaimed 'Liberation Transmission' album, which was launched with the chart-storming single 'Rooftops', reaching No.8 in June. 'A Town...' is another infectious example of modern rock music; radio friendly, whilst retaining all the edge and diversity these Welsh front-runners have become known for. - HMV

Isn't daydreaming an old song?

Yep, originally by The Wallace Collection, but the one that keeps getting sampled is the Gunter Kallman Choir version. I Monster sampled that one, as did the Beta Band at the time, resulting in a bit of a sample war to get the single with the sample released. I Monster 'won'.

That said, the original version was based on Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake anyway. :lol:

I'm not keen on this new version, but Jill Scott's vocals are very good.

Meh <_<

I don't know why this has done so poorly - I expected #15 at least. :(

Yet the UK public perfer Daniel O Donnell? Grannies should be shot :smoke:

38 :ne: (from 81) Get Cape - Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager: Part One

20 year old wunderkind Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly (aka Sam Duckworth to his mates) releases 'The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager (Part 1)', following on the success of his limited edition debut AA side 'I Spy / Call Me Ishmael'

Written on a train during his gig-to-gig, sofa-to-floor, bus-to-train journeys across Britain (Duckworth spent 2005 prolifically gigging, clocking up over 160 gigs since the start of 2005), 'Chronicles...' is self-produced and is another superb example of Duckworth's forceful, emotional melody, delicate then furious acoustic guitar and twitchy electronic beats. It's about "the emotional issues that bubble up for you, about meeting people on the road, and how they end up becoming some of your best friends 'cause you share common experiences". - HMV

Rogue Traders - Voodoo Child

[flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pr66K_490tY.swf

Voodoo Child represents a new sound for Rogue Traders. Once a conventional dance orientated act, they now have an energetic and raw sound that is a mixture of electronic glam pop and punky guitar rock. 'Voodoo Child' is a sexy, raucous club anthem that re-works Elvis Costello's classic riff from his track 'Pump It Up' and features the tantalising husky rock vocals from Neighbours star Natalie Bassingthwaighte. A sure fire hit, it is set to be one of the anthems of the year. - HMV

I much perfer the new Rogue Traders song to 'Voodoo' tbh - it's more darker and more addictive but I sense it will flop...
