I never dreamed it would stick around as well as it has, #11 is pretty much the peak I expected but I thought it'd be a 11-27-53-76 sort of thing.

I was expecting an even worse chart run! Specially considering their catalogue has not received a lot of attention in the years after the break, and that Bring on the Night was being largely ignored on iTunes and Spotify.

A bit of point but i hope you will see why im saying it in this thread. Ireland when it comes to Eurovision try and have the Irish sound at times into the song and it doesnt work. The Corrs Stay is exactly the type of song Ireland needs at Eurovision, very Irish but has appeal to others as well. I know the Corrs would never do Eurovision but id love them to come up with a song like Stay for some one else.

Stay would be a good choice for Eurovision. It's distinctively Irish, it's different but at the same time easy to listen. The instrumental part is very catchy and could be remembered by the public no matter their language.

I actually think it would work better in Eurovision than as a standalone single, since their biggest hits, minus Runaway, tend to sound more electronic.

I doubt they would do it, but I think they could really benefit from the exposure of Eurovision and taking back their European fanbase. It's not even a matter of winning; the mere news of them participating would get a big reception and draw a lot of attention on the new album from old fans in places like Spain, where they were HUGE.

I think 'I Do What I Like' is the most obvious - and sensible - choice for the next single. It sound goods on the radio anyway - when Radio 2 had it as Album of the Week at the end of November and Ken Bruce played it it sounded like the right one.
Sadly i dot think any choice of single would do well. All we can hope is a performance of any single will help sell the album further.
White Light is a non-mover at #27 on its sixth week! Impressive, thought it would be long gone by this point!

I've just learned the title track pays tribute to Amy Winehouse and now it makes SO much sense :o

The album is amazing in every sense. I'm so close to buying tickets to their show, the first 6 songs are just.. wow.

If I remember correctly their tour starts next week. That should it keep up in the top 40 for a few more weeks!

Yeah, I didn't expect their comeback to be this successful. Hopefully a new single and the tour can give it a new push in sales.

After such a steady chart run to date, white light unfortunately drops a big 25 places to number 52. I hope it can recover even a little next week.
The drop was severed because of all of those David Bowie albums re-entering the chart. I believe they have 12-13 Bowie albums above them.

Just seen the setlist for the tour...

Shame Borrowed Heaven has been completely snubbed as I'd liked to have heard them perform Summer Sunshine and Angel. Otherwise it's pretty spot on and the choices from White Light are all incredible, aside from Harmony missing. The only songs that I don't return to as much - Unconditional, Strange Romance and Catch Me When I Fall - are all absent too, as is Gerry's Reel oddly.

I'm annoyed about that too Rich, wanted SS :(

Enjoyed the gig so much. It was great to hear Love To Love You as it was missed out of the tour I saw. Always love seeing Queen of Hollywood and glad they kept it in the setlist <3 they have more 10/10 songs than any other act for me, even Delta. It was hit after hit after hit in my eyes.

They all sounded and looked fantastic.

Andrea Corr was my first celebrity crush :kink:

Caroline was mine

I can't stop thinking about how good this gig was. Queen Of Hollywood has got to be one of the best non-singles of all time, it's a shame it wasn't a double a-side with So Young or something, would have made a nice winter single.

As far as single releases go, I think their real missed trick was not re-releasing I Never Loved You Anyway after they hit the big-time.

Adored the live show - thought Andrea's vocals started off a little shaky, although hearing Give Me A Reason early on was a welcome surprise; would never have expected that to be included over Summer Sunshine or Old Town. They all seemed to find their footing after they got going on the instrumental section though, and from that point on they were spot on. And the decision on which White Light tracks to include and which to snub were on point.

Highlights; the stripped back Love To Love You, Dreams, and the whole arena on their feet for the Breathless / Toss The Feathers finale. Much more rousing than a 40-something Corrs gig had any right to be, and it's really LOVELY to see that they still command a devoted fanbase now, even if I was almost a sole island amidst a sea of Linda-47-from-Reigate housewives.

And the all-important perspective from an aged gai - YES to Caroline being the hottest

I loved the inclusion of Love To Love You too as it wasn't on the last tour, and the video backdrop was great for that song.

I like Give Me A Reason but I'd have definitely preferred to hear Summer Sunshine or Angel, I don't really understand why Borrowed Heaven was completely snubbed, it was a great album.

Caroline was always an enigma, the cute girl next door that's an incredible drummer with real passion and talent. Even now she doesn't say much, Sharon seems to be the spokesperson of the group whenever they turn up for interviews, guess she's just the most outgoing and most comfortable with being 'a celebrity'. Hence her continued media presence, and stint on The Voice Ireland and ongoing solo career and tours.

I wonder if a re-release of I Never Loved You Anyway was mooted at some point...after all, it had that underwhelming remix on the Special Edition of Talk On Corners. Perhaps they thought about putting it out after Runaway but had a change of heart.

Oh that appallingly weak remix of I Never Loved You Anyway really was just plain MUSICAL VANDALISM

I really wasn't sorry they skipped Summer Sunshine - for me, always one of their flimsiest releases. Angel however would have been very welcome. But then for the latter, they did seem to steer clear of the more personal moments in general - see also the lack of Gerry's Reel.

Caroline definitely seems to be most fame-shy, although I'm sure they're wishing it was Jim who would BELT UP these days.

It's awful, I loved all the other remixes but that one did the song no favours at all. It's rumoured to be Tin Tin Out as well but nobody put their name to it.

And of course the long forgotten (as in, forgotten by the public and disowned by the band a month after the single charted) Would You Be Happier was missing too! Yeah I was surprised that nothing that personal showed up, either that or Goodbye would have been nice. I really was shocked at the lack of Gerry's Reel, thought they'd be itching to perform that in the trad section.

Jim seems to have cleansed his website/social media accounts of all of his conspiracy theories, quelle surprise!

Oh it REEKED of Tin Tin Out. Those guys did a decent job of What Can I Do, but after that they should have been firmly told to piss off.

Would You Be Happier was easily their LOWEST moment - it's basically a very poor man's Emma Bunton knock-off

I can understand the Goodbye omission - although LOVELY it's hardly a pivotal moment for them, and probably communicates the wrong message given they've been rumbling on in public about this not just being a one-off comeback.

I remain disappointed at the lack of a Jim Corr conspiracy theory themed solo album.
