So dropping out as your eighth favourite (or rather 23rd least disliked) Kanye single is...

08. Kanye West - Through The Wire (7 votes, 22.58%)

Yep, it's time to wave goodbye to Kanye's debut single. Throwing it all the way back to almost 12 years ago, we would see new kid on the block Kanye West come out of the blocks with the wonderful 'Through The Wire', the lead single for the critically acclaimed 'College Dropout' LP. The track has a wonderfully retro feel, using a pitched sample of Chaka's Khan 1985 hit single 'Through The Fire' to this effect. With an almost chipmunky vocal, the track could have been easily very annoying, however it is just so perfectly executed and joyous sounding, it somehow just works fantastically. It was well received also at the time, giving Kanye a good chart career start, with a peak of #9 on the UK Singles Chart and #15 on US Billboard Hot 100. I am thrilled it has managed to last so long here, I honestly never knew that it was so well thought of and kind of assumed it was one of the more forgotten gems. I am glad it has gotten the recognition it truly deserves here.

I so so so hope that Jesus Walks manages to be survive another round. I kind of expected it to fall around this time but I would be so thrilled for it to make the top 5 if possible.
Completely passed me but that 'Gold Digger' was still there last round.. 'Heartless' is safe from my votes as long as that's still in! So with you on keeping 'Jesus Walks' in for as long as possible! 🙌🏻
'Through the Wire' is my favourite Kanye single, but I too am surprised (pleasently so, obviously) that it got as high as it did here! :o
I'm pretty undecided. I want all of his autotuned shιt to go. Heartless, I guess.
Gold Digger, I like it a lot but it's not as good as the rest.
Heartless this time. Both 808s singles have done very well to get this far, not undeserved though.
have people forgotten that Jesus Walks is still here? can't have Gold Digger going out already
I have gone for 'POWER' again but i wouldn't mind 'Gold Digger' going at this stage.

Speaking of Power, it's being used by ITV in the Election Coverage Ad. Return to the chart pls. And stop voting for Power pls you $l*t.
