Stunning record, glad they chose not to make it three 'dance' records in a row.

I F***IN LOVE THIS SONG

Everything about it is so lush, I'm obsessed. Far and away the best thing I've heard from them, and I don't mind "King".

It took me a few listens to click but now I love it! Not quite as good as Desire or King for me yet, but still a fantastic tune.

I'm still obsessed with this.

Oh, okay then.

1) Take Shelter

2) Shine

3) Desire

4) Real

5) King

But I genuinely love all of them, so no shade to King.

I just love the drop (if you can call it that) at 2.50.

The video is great, can't say the same about the song yet.

1. Real

2. King

3. Take Shelter

4. Shine

5. Desire

Does the outro of this remind anyone of Running Up That Hill?

Yep, it's so similar I thought it was a sample at one point.

Loved their performance of it on TFI Friday, have pre-ordered the single :)
His vocals were indeed weak but enough to give me a good idea of what the studio version would be like and that was enough to interest me.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought so.

There's elements the whole way through the song,

Fun fact: Years & Years remain the only act to manage just 1 week at the top of the UK singles chart this year - though they would have had 3 if it wasn't for that lacklustre and unnecessary Sam Smith/John Legend collab. for Comic Relief. I think this will manage Top 5, it's slightly better than “King” but I think it may be a little too subtle to be a big radio & chart long runner.

I agree with this - but I'm glad they took more of a risk and released this instead of something else that was quite crowd-pleasery.

It looks like it'll be another big hit for them anyway. They've hardly had any airplay yet and it's #140 on iTunes with 2 weeks to go. Probably looking at #2, I'd say.

Yeh I agree it's def not a bit like King which is still overshadowing it. Just hope it's not their Extraordinary and doesn't effect the album sales. A lot of acts wait too long to release the album these days - if Shine doesnt become a huge hit they might wish they'd released it after the huge King!
