This was better semi than I thought thanks to performances (from hideous to fabulous). Sadly Hungary and Armenia was qualified instead of Belarus and Finland but this is ESC and anything can happen. Not really that bothered. Otherwise the qualifiers were as expected.

YES. I LOVED that touch <3

I loved how fast paced the results were but yeah it'd probably be better to create at least SOME suspense next time haha. But we have one more song (and Finland had a short song this time too) so it's like 5 more minutes to cut out of somewhere~

01. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Moldova.png Moldova // Eduard Romanyuta - I Want Your Love 7/10

That was fine. Nothing groundbreaking or extraordinary but nice to look at. Hoped he wouldn't qualify and he did not. YAY. but some of the choreography and stuff was quite fab. The shirt off part tho <3

02. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Armenia.png Armenia // Genealogy - Face The Shadow 7.5/10

Now that was a grower as studio version but I think they got through pretty much on the fact that Georgia, Belarus and Russia were in the Semi Final really. Inga >>>>>> the rest of them. The staging was pretty but rather basic for Armenia oops.

03. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Belgium.png Belgium // Loïc Nottet - Rhythm Inside 127/10

SENSATIONAL. I HAVE NO WORDS. Even though he looked mildly deranged a few times during the performance, it was incredible. That voice, that choreography, that EVERYTHING. FUCK. I knew he'd pull it off but I didn't know it would be THAT fantastic. Of course, they could've put a couple of dancers in the background - that would look even better and cooler but the number still works. Actually, come to think of it, this would distract everyone from Loic and no one needs that (not that it's even possible at this point *.* ). STILL DROOLING. Top 5 or DEATH (to everyone else) plz

04. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Netherlands.png The Netherlands // Trijntje Oosterhuis - Walk Along 6/10

Bless ha :') Such a mess. She looked so nervous. Vocally she was okay but the song really isn't that strong or simple enough to continue that qualification streak. Oopserhuis~

05. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Finland.png Finland // Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät - Aina Mun Pitää 4/10

I don't like saying that but I FUCKING TOLD YOU SO. Well, who am I kidding? I LOVE SAYING THAT. I TOLD YOU SO I TOLD YOU SO I TOLD YOU SO. This was rather uncomfortable to watch. The guys looked very disconnected. I know they have a condition but the truth teas were served all t no shade. It would be kinda cool to have had them in the Final though. But charity qualification is so not worth it. The song is a grower though.

06. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Greece.png Greece // Maria Elena Kyriakou - One Last Breath 8.5/10

Maria's professionalism and vocals is really the thing that got this to the Final. On its own this is a very basic ballad but Greek performers always have this OOMPH about their performances and manner. Beigefteria aside OBVIOUSLY. That tragic vanilla flavoured basic could neva.

07. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Estonia.png Estonia // Elina Born & Stig Rästa - Goodbye To Yesterday 10/10

The chemistry between them. The staring competition they had throughout their performance. AMAZING. Loved how intense it was. The vocals were great and the staging worked so well. The Common Linnets comparisons are invalid. Who cares if they basically have the same idea. If the execution is fabulous they deserve to do well.

08. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/FYR_Macedonia.png Macedonia // Daniel Kajmakoski - Autumn Leaves 6.5/10

He really was quite terrible live there. It pains me to say that but I knew there would be at least one disappointment. I love the studio version so much but I agree that it shouldn't have qualified because of that performance. The staging looked weird, the backing vocalists looked out of place (and did they even add anything? I honestly didn't notice ("i'm not racist but..."~~~)), Daniel's facial expressions looked as weird as his vocals were out of tune. It just didn't work. Give Loic this song - he can make it better.

09. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Serbia.png Serbia // Bojana Stamenov - Beauty Never Lies 10/10

Now there's a QoL. The guy I was watching this with told me that a girl as big as she should have a more powerful voice. Erm gurl bahh. She's fine the was she are. Serving those big girl teas <3 Now we need a Chiara/Hera/Bojana collab ASAP.

10. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Hungary.png Hungary // Boggie - Wars For Nothing 8.5/10

I thought she looked rather robotic but somehow she managed to send the message across. The vocals were great and by the end I was liking this a lot. My friend loved it too so it kinda shows that it's rather instant.

11. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Belarus.png Belarus // Uzari & Maimuna - Time 7.5/10

I thought this was good but it lacked that special something. I was expecting the violin to be more prominent and play a bigger role in this but unfortunately that didn't happen. Having Polina perform next didn't help AT ALL too.

12. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Russia.png Russia // Polina Gagarina - A Million Voices 10/10

Now this was truly a winning performance. I'd be shocked if she didn't top that Semi Final. So fabulous. She looked so radiant and happy. You would feel bad booing someone like that. I'm glad there were no boos and such. Austrians really seem quite happy and easily pleased oops

13. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Denmark.png Denmark // Anti Social Media - The Way You Are 6/10

After Russia there was no chance in hell this beigefest would even be remembered. This probably came like 15th. The young short muscular twink with a guitar was pretty hawt but otherwise the thing was very vanilla and blah. Flush.

14. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Albania.png Albania // Elhaida Dani - I'm Alive 8/10

I liked it but she certainly did not impress me. Second disappointment of the night. Loved the waist tattoo though <3

15. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Romania.png Romania // Voltaj - De La Capăt/All Over Again 7.5/10

Beige. Liked. Next.

16. http://www.eurovision.tv/img/upload/flags/mini/Georgia.png Georgia // Nina Sublatti - Warrior 10/10

QUEEN. I knew she'd pull herself together by the time of the show. She worked that stage so well. The wind machine, the make up, the vocals, the song, the smoke, the dramz. YASSSSSSSS SLAY HENNI *.* WHAT A WAY TO END THE SHOW!

Pretty much PERFECT results. I'd have slightly preferred Belarus over Romania but really no1curr.

The results lacked excitement, they announced each qualifier much too quickly. The Estonian performance was wonderfully enjoyable and should come in the top 5 in the final. The Serbian entry was a surprise, i had not liked it prior to the semi but the girl performed it brilliantly and i was engaged. The love for the Georgia entry here in the forum is a surprise as i found it forgettable.

Yeah I didn't like how the results were shorter than the interview with Guy and yet another bloody Australia VT. I know they're a guest and it's a one off but it's pissing me off already. The 3 presenters are also terrible. Why do they need 3 of those exactly? I'd rather Conchita had done it all herself.

Aside from those it was a great show :D

I like the presenters, the blonde one at least, she reminded me a lot of Reese Witherspoon  And I enjoyed the 'humour' more than usual. Pace of the results I don't care about, they were running out of time so eh.

Russia had the whole package, fantastic song, loved her dress, loved all the lighting, it was just stunning. If Loic can't quite pull it off, country aside, this is the next best thing.

The pace of the results was perfect, nothing worse than having enough time to make a cup of tea in between countries being announced.
Very impressed Armenia managed to make it come across well on stage, always risky with six random singers but it was very simple yet effective - very glad they made it through!
The creative producer tweeted that they had to speed through the results as they were about to run over and couldn't do that due to broadcasters' schedules. Hopefully they have more time on Thursday where hopefully they won't have to show that Australia montage again!

The blonde haired woman was the superior host of the three, her alone would work best.

Didn't stop Sweden running over in the final by over 35 minutes in 2013! But with Christer Bjorkman in charge anything goes (unless there's a special rule for the final running over that doesn't apply to the semis).

My favourite from the beggining was Mans. Polina was still right behind him but after semi-final...

She's just amazing! Such a stunning performance, with great vocals and actually Polina delivered stunning performance by using stage abilities in full option. It's my contender to winner, that could be awesome if Polina won whole Eurovision.

Ugh. Why did Polina have to be as amazing as that? :drama:

That really was a winning performance. Why can't she represent a different country? :(

Also in the winner's press conference Polina was amazing. She answered a question on LGBT rights by saying all people should be treated the same, and then she got all emotional when everyone in the press conference started chanting Polina. Russia are very lucky to have such a fantastic ambassador! She also spoke English in the conference and was pretty good, she should have more confidence in her skills!

yes, fantastic ambassador who gets confused and nervous from a question and then starts speaking about herself rather than answering the question :nono:

She lived in Greece as a child if it makes the situation better :(

Missed the first semi but for good reason, I was seeing S Club 7!

When are the full results listed?

Full results will be published immediately after the final on Saturday night! :D
